haha so that's like five of these things all looking the same. But the one from Terminator is the oldest so far, so Cameron wins (for now)

Fascinating... Hopefully they(Team Cameron) could deliver it like he did with T2.

heh, speaking of simmilarities..
Terrans are pretty much based off dirty Australians in sc as well heh.

wow I've never realized that. Thanks for pointing it out. I wonder what's the science with these "two blades" thing.

My brother did some of the CG on this movie so I hope it does well. I wish they would stop hyping it so much. It's hard to enjoy a movie when you've already heard way too much about it and seen all the best bits.

The Vertibirds from Fallout also look somewhat similar.
I guess nothing is really original anymore.

Fallout came after Terminator 2 no?

I saw the trailer and I was totally underwhelmed. I hope this doesn't suck balls.

Terran were based on the space marines in Aliens I thought?
Hell the dropship even steals lines straight from the movie!

yeah the dropship from Aliens is pretty identical to the on in sc The pilot, the lines and the way they both deliver it.
Halo also copied much from Aliens including the "Colonel figure"

There are probably hundreds of people who work on the CG, it's not at all unbelievable

It's unbelievable to me that two people in the last two pages of this thread are related to people that worked on this film.

My uncle drew the concept bases for the film but was never published... too bad uncle, too bad... Also my grandfather draw how the savages looked-liked... it resembled that of a jaguar and a human mating at exponential rates that they were able to conceive a child..

10 days guys!! 10 days! Can't wait.
Early word-of-mouth seems to indicate its a predictable plot, but well executed (a la Terminator 2/Titanic) and the 3D special effects lives up to the hype.
