Figures cannot be DLed and are 3D, which is the bane of my pirating empire. Besides I think the money goes to the makers not type-moon, amirite?
But I'd much rather give the money to type-moon if it was my choice =(

Spazer, how far are you into BMW so far? Also, how many kills does your Akiha have? I'm at my college right now, so I can't check the exact number, but my Akiha is a complete beast, and easily has the most kills on my team so far lol (so far like 40 something kills)

If you dump enough upgrades and skills on anyone in BMW, they'll pretty much be beastly. Even though I wasn't trying to use Akiha actively, she still got a lot of kills early on. Just need to remember that ace bonus exists in this game and a single OP unit tends to hog up kills for the other guys later on. That said, if you plan to use Shion/Ryougi/Satsuki/Mecha Hisui/Bazette/Sakura, you'd better feed kills to them. Otherwise they will have a pretty hard time hitting 50 kills for ace bonus.

You need 50 kills for the Ace bonus, right? As far as Akiha goes, IMO just give her Hit and Away, she becomes a good unit, or at the very least a tanky Rin. After being fair to your other units (by giving them SP Regen), give her SP Regen, and she basically gets to cast Strike (or w/e the never miss skill is called in this game) every single turn for only 5 sp. Shes like a Rin who doesn't ever take damage, and actually hurts the enemies. I wish Rin did more damage though.
Shirou is a piece of trash in this game, unsurprisingly, so I can't wait until I'm not forced to use him anymore.

Does BMW and SRW have any like totally broken guys that you are forced to use? I always hated using Ike in Fire Emblem because he was so OP.

You only say that because you haven't reached the Shirou and Rin buffs, post buffs Rin becomes a beast with the longest range in game and a self xp buff in exchange for no 100% hit. Well worth it tbh when you need to squeeze out every bit of xp and cash for battle masteries. Shirou becomes this ridiculous super with a pretty damned good sp set. Akiha becomes some bad version of Lancer/Shion. But like I said earlier in the thread, you can still put her to ok use by using her as a long ranged tank w/ support defend. SP Regen is wasted on her, you can do better with SP Regen on a good 80% of other units before putting it on Akiha. If you insist on trying to get kills though, then SP Regen is going to be mandatory for her.
That said, long ranged folks is like Sakura>Archer=Rin>Akiha>Touko now.

Well, beating FE on higher difficulties w/o Ike is also impossible. At any case, I don't think anyone is nearly as broken as the Path of Radiance Ike in BMW (Though some are comparable to the Radiant Dawn Ike).

Levin/Sety in Fire Emblem 4 = most OP... they actually had to change how magic works in FE series because of them...

Ike in Path of Radiance wasn't even that great, lol. I mean he was decent, but his late promotion was kinda bad. He certainly isn't anywhere near like Jill/Kieran/Titania in terms of brokenness. Later on he is fine when he gets his Legendary weapon, but that still doesn't make up for him not being mounted.
IIRC Ike was much better in Radiant Dawn. Normal mode in that game had Haar as the best unit, but people who weren't me believed that in Hard Mode, Ike was able to surpass him due to better combat ability.
Levin and Sety were broken in FE4, and it didn't help that Legendary Weapons were insane in that game, and they literally could never be hit because of that tome lol

Ike was instrumental in hard mode, and late promotion never particularly mattered in FE anyway.
Early FEs were so silly.

FE4 was just on another level of awkwardness with the legendary weapons >_> Celice + Mistoleen wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee.

lol, late promotion doesn't make him bad, but it does make him not as good as people like Jill/Kieran/Titania, who are all good faster, have huge MOV, mounted bonuses (can move after action), and are not stuck with swords. Plus, tons of characters are "instrumental" in hard mode (especially early on), but that doesn't make them the OP-material.
Late promotions are things that contribute to Lyn and Roy being so bad too, so its not like late promotions don't matter.

She isn't the best late game, but shes fine. Its not like she has Marcus stats or anything. Early game utility+not crap later on makes her one of the overall best characters. I'm not talking 20/20 stats when I say if a character is good or not.

That makes her useful, that doesn't make her good. It is just semantics I suppose, but I tend to reserve a vague qualification of 'good' and such to be the end potential growth and use something more specific for people useful at certain periods.
I still honestly can't say that late promotions have ever made someone 'bad', they just make people not immediately OP.
