Battle Moon Wars is so awesome, I can't even process all the awesomeness. + Show Spoiler +Not enough Sion so far. ![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/Ew7NV.jpg) lololololol ![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/Rm0BE.jpg) This animation is so ridiculously badass. I watch it every time. ![[image loading]](http://imgur.com/jm1J5.jpg) Obligatory cute Akiha moment. Why? I don't see what's wrong with it, as long as I don't start looking at pictures/molesting real lolis. No one's harmed by just looking at anime fanart.

Clannad Kanon 5 Centimeters per Second ef Kowarekake no Orgel LoGH TTGL Madoka
That's just stuff from my MAL that I remember crying at.
There's a lot more if you include "cried from laughter."
Edit: Hourou Musuko still isn't out

I think people are afraid that people will eventually go from just looking at harmless pictures to actually fulfilling their fantasy in real life.
While this train of thought is complete BS, it is unfortunately how many people think.

Anime where you cried - go!
I am going to take this as "Anime that made you cry / had an extreme emotional impact on you" Since I did not cry to all of these Anime but was very touched by them.
I would have to second:
Clannad 5 cm per second
I would like to add:
Toradora! Shuffle! True Tears Myself ; Yourself Air ef - a tale of memories.

I still love Connect though. Unfortunately, that op was my favorite part of the show :/ ( He's crazy, Texhnolyze is one of the best animes ever. Go watch it. Anything by Yuki Kajiura is amazing, and I'm also quite partial to the Eva OP. The problem I had with it was that it was really slow and really really depressing. Depressing isn't really my thing. Also, the show had the unfortunate property of being slow without drawing me in. Some shows can be slow but suspenseful, which works, but in Texhnolyze the show is so overwhelmingly gloomy that I had no hope for a happy ending. I guess it just wasn't my type of show. That said, there are lots of people who love it, and I think it's Shauni's favorite show. Also, more people watching ABe stuff is always good. You don't like a show just cause it's depressing? That's like the only kinds of shows I watch lol >> But yes, I agree with it being agonizingly slow. That is a huge drawback. But to anyone who wants to start it, tough through it, it's definitely worth it. Happy endings are boring anyways. Haha, well in that case no wonder you like Texhnolyze :p
I'm not a huge fan of happy endings, but I distinguish between "sad" and "depressing". Sad shows have ups and downs. Depressing shows have downs and more downs, and instill a general feeling of hopelessness. Texhnolyze and Saikano are two of the only depressing shows I've seen.

Anime where I cried from it actually being sad ...
Requiem for the Phantom Wolf's Rain FMA - Original + Show Spoiler +When they finally get their bodies back but as a cost have to live in separate worlds
Can't think of any others off the top of my head.

Anime that has made me cry... Robotech/Macross + Show Spoiler +, and LoGH + Show Spoiler +. IMO single saddest moment in anime in LoGH, right there, and there were several that were really sad.

LoGH - + Show Spoiler +I didn't cry for Yang, although I felt horrible after that episode. I did cry for Reuental though. What struck me about his death was how tragic and wasteful it was. He didn't even want to rebel - it was pure pride, and he was loyal to his last breath. Him waiting for Mittermeyer to arrive and dying before they could have one last drink was the push over the edge. Gunbuster - + Show Spoiler +Code Geass R2 - + Show Spoiler +The meat of the series aside, the ending was pretty well done. Now and Then, Here and There - + Show Spoiler +Nabuca's death and that village girl (whatever her name was) was pretty sad, but I don't think I cried for that. It was more the general tone of the ending - Shu goes home and it's as if none of the events of the series - from the suffering to the rape to the deaths of many prominent characters - even happened. His kendo stuff is just sitting where he left it when he was transferred to the other world. Kobato - + Show Spoiler +Though I totally saw it coming, Kobato "leaving" in episode 23 got me. Then they ruined it with episode 24. Rurouni Kenshin: Trust and Betrayal - + Show Spoiler +
Edit: lololol Shiki (Tohno) is amazingly broken right now.

I've cried for Kanon, 5 cm/sec, maybe Saikano, I think that's it.
