He's crazy, Texhnolyze is one of the best animes ever. Go watch it.
Anything by Yuki Kajiura is amazing, and I'm also quite partial to the Eva OP.
The problem I had with it was that it was really slow and really really depressing. Depressing isn't really my thing. Also, the show had the unfortunate property of being slow without drawing me in. Some shows can be slow but suspenseful, which works, but in Texhnolyze the show is so overwhelmingly gloomy that I had no hope for a happy ending.
I guess it just wasn't my type of show. That said, there are lots of people who love it, and I think it's Shauni's favorite show. Also, more people watching ABe stuff is always good.
I really hope the mangaka switches things up in this fight. The whole ippo formula (ippo starts off strong, gets hit by something new, then comes back in one punch through his willpower and bond with his trainer) is getting pretty stale. I really hope Ippo either one-shots this guy or loses or something interesting I dunno.
Afaik it is just a name to go with that more white and girlish design, there was no background story for it in Fate/Unlimited Codes where it first showed up as an alternative costume.

They're both must-haves as far as I'm concerned.
If I have to pick one, design wise GSC just has a much, much better concept. That Alter one feels like it is just a play on the Bake vol 1 case illustration. Still, both look really good.

I haven't watched Tex but of the other three I definitely rate Black Lagoon the highest, although the last arc in season 2 will make your ears bleed (Engrish).
