Oh come on, that's not long. You want long? Try reading F/SN's prologue. It takes like a good 2-3 hours before you even reach the title screen. -_-
Edit: It's probably the only game where I've had to save before ever seeing the title screen.

Of all the characters you could've killed, it had to be him. -_- IMO, there are several criteria that need to be fulfilled for a tsundere to be good. First, the tsun to dere ratio has to be decent (eg. not Louise). Alternatively, they can be more tsuntsun in the first half and move into full on dere for the second half. Second, they have to be not totally useless (eg. not Houki. I can't even fathom why the author made her like that in the first place.). Having awesome scenes make characters more likeable. Third, maintaining the status quo is retarded. There are few things more tedious than reading the same damn thing for ten volumes and seeing no progress whatsoever because the author wants to milk the series and avoid pissing off shippers. Bonus points if they have a personality beyond being tsundere.
You mean Nike? Honestly, character development in Break Blade is kind of funny. There are the important people, and the people who we think should be important (but don't show up). Then there are the sidekicks of the important people and their sidekicks. + Show Spoiler [Break Blade] +Then we start killing people from the lower echelon to develop people from the ones above, till we eventually kill everyone but the important people
As for Zess, he just reappeared in like chapter 49 or so. Speaking of chapter 49, anyone remember the badass colonel who was holding like one fort in the Western front? Well, that guy just made a move, and he is freaking awesome. I wish we get more of him. + Show Spoiler [Break Blade] +A huge shame about Girge though, I am still not entirely sure on what the point of his character is other than being awesome and some way to give Lygart even more things to have conflicts about. At this rate poor Lygart will be completely emo before he fight general badass again
About tsundere, I've found plenty of 9tsun1dere heroines interesting. Louise wasn't annoying because she was never dere, she was just a bitch. But yeah, giving the characters actual development seems to be pretty helpful, that broom makes me rage so. Maintaining the status quo in general can be ok, look at how Misaka got along fine for around 15 vols.
All of that just seem to point to how tsunderes can't be just tsundere, and needs to be an actual character instead of a walking bitchslap into kisses machine.

Reading seitokai no ichizon gaiden vol 4 at last, surprisingly good. To be honest, this series is actually pretty well done.

I use http://gendou.com/ for DDLs. Alternatively http://www2.tokyotosho.info/ and http://www.nyaa.eu/ for torrents. But I try to avoid torrenting small files, because it's a pain in the ass.
