+ Show Spoiler [K-ON!/Madoka] + You know how Yui (and all the girls really) love cake and other various snack foods? And how Yui is a klutz and kind of an idiot? Well, look at Charlotte's witch zone one more time: ![]() You're thinking "Oh my God! Yui is--" Well, let me finish that thought for you. In an alternate reality to the one in K-ON!, Yui is confronted by InQBtor. For whatever reason, she must have made a contract with it. Her wish, you ask? She obviously wished for cake. Eventually, Yui became a witch. That witch was Charlotte. Yui killed Mami. ![]()

It's called Fractale. It might not seem your cup of tea at the beginning, but I don't want to say anything else so you can experience and enjoy it to the fullest. Only 8 episodes out of 11 so far, you can find legally uploaded subs by Funimation on youtube under "Season 1" (omg more than 11 episodes then?) Closest anime I can compare it with (all aspects considered) is Denno Coil, but this is even better. This is not your Code Geass but is still a beautiful anime and has its own share of action/thriller with good pacing and well implemented humor/romance etc. and all. Great animation too. I didn't particularly like what they were doing with the story, and dropped the show after episode 3. The idea is interesting and has some merit, but the execution I felt was really lacking. + Show Spoiler [For instance, episode 3] + The gunfight thing came out of nowhere, and although I understand it was supposed to be a dramatic way of stating that things aren't as nice as they seem, it was done in such a way that it was almost unintentionally hilarious. Random mook A dies and characters get all emotional because of that, but he had hardly any characterization, so why should I care? I have been keeping up with the episode summaries though, but overall, I'm still not impressed. + Show Spoiler [Fractale] + In episode 6, we meet Clain's father. What for? Meeting him did not advance the plot - it was basically just a side note. In episode 5, nothing happens. Instead of getting more discussion about the Fractale system, the ethics of using it, the changes to society, etc., we get laundry day. I mean, what the hell. If you're going to make an anime about technology and how it's helping/destroying society, maybe you should focus on that instead of giving us tons of slice of life and some random subplots? I dunno. I feel like this show is Angel Beats all over again. All this potential and they just blew it. + Show Spoiler [IS#10] + Tanabe is like a hamster or coffee (or crack). I still don't see why the Houki hate is so strong. She's got a nice personality. She doesn't gloat about having a superior IS, or anything. She's mostly silent and it's just now her time to shine. Sure Tanabe is hax, but it's not really Houki's fault. I still don't see how she's the only love interest now. She's got an IS now and is given the chance to use it and make an impression. Compared to the Ichika hogging the other heroines did, I consider it justice. Don't blame Houki for crap writing in the future episodes/LNs, blame the author for killing off the chances of the other heroines. It's not like it was impossible for him to limit Tanabe just to delivering the IS and explaining it. If what I read was true, blame him for making Tanabe plot hax instead of just a 1-time boost for Houki. + Show Spoiler [Madoka] + LOL, Tanami going berserk and Homura's story. A nice episode overall. Wonder what Madoka's wish was, though. Actually, her personality is even worse now. She hates Tabane for her petty reasons, but cracks down as soon as she realizes that the only way she can get a personal IS would be through Tabane. I don't mind that opportunistic attitude, but if she was really like that, she could've gotten much more done with Ichika. It is just horribly inconsistent. Also, the way Tabane worked up to that point in the series is evident that once she actually interfered, she is not going to just disappear off the show. She is going to keep on giving Houki random boosts. So what justice is here? Houki is a shitty tsundere that can't go dere properly ever, what sympathy are we supposed to feel for that? You'll realize soon that Rin and Cecilia remains screwed and only Houki is boosted through plot armor. So with that, I only hate Houki more for being the random choice that the author made. Such a crap character. On March 11 2011 18:10 Spazer wrote: + Show Spoiler [Madoka] + I just realized that despite all the different loops we were shown, we were never told what Madoka's wish was. I imagine it was something trivial when she contracted before Homura arrived, but what about that time at Walpurgis? I guess this is going to be a major plot point in the last two episodes. Perhaps this is the way out? Biggest factor left imo. + Show Spoiler [madoka] + Everything else suggests that this route is already ruined for Homura, the wish is the only thing that can possibly affect the outcome at this point About the time travel, the way it is triggered feels identical to Endless Eight. Not enough is said about the Madoka world for me to think that these are timelines or actual time traveling though. Also, yay for Sora no Kiseki anime~

+ Show Spoiler [gif in question] + ![]() The story wasn't anything too original or astounding. Some down on his luck guy finds a loli robot in a pile of trash (who could do such a cruel thing ) and he fixes her and she basically serves the functions of a maid. She is also UBER moe. As a friend of mine put it:my moe sensors were permanently burnt and my heart, plucked from my body. So the girl gradually fills up the gaps in the guy's heart, and they have a happy, slice of lifey summer together. The story is told from the girl's perspective through her cute, crayon-drawn journal. I found it a very unique and fun way to convey the story. Hell, I can even relate to her drawing skills :3 ![]() So eventually the girl decides that she just wants to see the ocean. And you can kinda see where the story is going. But for a doujin, it was extremely well-made (was a lot better than most stuff on TV anyway), and it was moe and touching (I admit, tears were brought to my eyes at the end). 9/10 just because it was predictable. Those eyes gets me every time ;_; + Show Spoiler +

Take Louise, my favorite example of a shitty tsundere. I swear, it took her seven fucking novels before she got a proper dere scene. While it's true that the harder the tsun, the softer the dere, but there comes a point when the character just transcends tsundere altogether and just becomes bitchy. -_-

There's a scene where she is trying to buy food for the main guy, and it costs 320 yen. So she takes the yen out of a coin purse and starts counting it. The shopkeeper guy points out that she is really slow. Then another Parents comes says that she wants whatever and is like "It'll cost 420 yen. So here's 1,000 yen. The change will be 580 yen." And the shopkeeper guy is like "See? That's how they're supposed to be." They don't explain what her power source is because well, it's meant to be a cute slice of life OVA.
