Too OP to even be bothered to be in his own show except when he can power fantasy trip on someone that he knows he'll smash, just to smash them. For the record, I finished the show so I'm looking forward to S2 but not for him. He's relegated himself to a secondary character and anytime I see him on the screen, I zone out. The harem is more interesting than literally any OP feat he's accomplished so far. He's a boring OP protag imo.

This gives other characters room to breathe and plenty of time to do some world building, which is quite often a problem with OP protag shows as they tend to hog all the time and attention. With this you're watching a good show with interesting characters (Alpha my fav) but with added element of the chaos factor that is Cid who shows up, does some unbelievable shit and disappears, leaving everyone in amazement. I do wish though that maybe we could get an episode or two focusing more on him. I keep hearing from people who've read the LN that anime has cut out a lot of the "training montage" scenes and some explanations for why he's so OP (could show him practicing stuff, discovering the slime conductivity and his experiments with it etc.). I guess the showrunners decided to put the girls front and center though and push Cid into the shadows. Maybe to keep it fresh for LN readers or not spoiling it so that people who watched the show can then go on and read the books to get more of a deep dive.

The two (3?) noble girls are more interesting as she's barely featured as well. If what you said about them cutting a lot out is true, then they fucked up because this show is definitely not what the synopsis was leading you to believe. They got me hooked on the tertiary characters so I guess mission accomplished ala Bush lol.

This is me just guessing here but perhaps they didn't know if season 2 will be greenlit etc. so they had a limited amount of episodes to work with, if they added all the training and explanations (both for Cid and some of the other characters) I think they'd have enough material for 2 seasons just within the arcs they put into season 1.

Well, no point in complaining about it now I suppose. I watched all the episodes already lol. I can't unwatch them. I'll wait for S2 and see what's what then. Hell's Paradise is probably going to make the cut this season. There are a few that might join it, but I'm not a fan of this season so far.

Well, I guess that what sells most people on EiS is not even the plot and story but how unapologetic it is (pure distilled fun) even if you don't think about it and most of all the production level. I mean, there's very few animes in recent times that can match EiS when it comes to the quality of animation, sound etc. Hell's Paradise seems pretty good right now. I just have this urge to skip it though just so I can binge it later. 1 episode/week is torture.

Doesn't have much going for it IMO. i kind of know what they are talking about but it seems to me that those guys like to watch more mature animes. they compare it to jjk, demon slayer and csm and of course if you compare my hero academia with those, the dark aspects of mha dont look that bad. they also praise bleach and then complain about 3 chapter of mha but they forget the whole fullbringer arc that was garbage and looked like filler. s2 peaked in the last chapters imo when Stain appear, those chapters were sick af so i would recommend you at least try to watch till the end of the season. maybe it isnt for you maybe it is. about the last season + Show Spoiler + The last season started amazing and full of action, after that things calmed a lot. The dark Deku chapters were kind of boring for me, i thought we were going to have a time skip but now i guess it wont happen. one for all being differents quirks was a let down for me. finally, i want to know more about all might disciple from the US anything good this season son far? im just watching mob psycho for now
