Good scene with Aki and the Ghost devil, was the highlight for me. Final scene sets up season 2 quite well. The show mixes genuine emotion quite well with degeneracy, which is quite refreshing. I've been eyeballing something that's coming out in april 2023: Hell's Paradise: Jigokuraku, it's another one where the world building seems to be quite epic. | ||

Best Animes for 2022 My top 10 (6-10 in spoilers so this doesn't go on forever with everything else I'll be writting lol) Bocchi the Rock! Kaguya Sama Love is War Season 3 Lycoris Recoil Aharen-san wa Hakarenai Ya Boy Kongming + Show Spoiler + Call of the Night Akiba Maid War The Yakuza's Guide to Babysitting Love Live! Superstar!! Season 2 Do it Yourself!! Best Thing that Nobody Watched of 2022 Life with an Ordinary Guy who Reincarnated Into a Total Fantasy Knockout. Just barely didn't make it into my top 10 from how amazing DIY's final push was. Truly hilarious and a good example of what Isekai can be, now that people are tired of pushing out the exact same SAO clone/derivative. One of the funniest shows this year. Also shout outs to Deaimon: Recipe for Happiness and My Master Has No Tail, neither of which are as good as the 11 shows I've mentioned thus far, but were both really enjoyable 7/10ish experiences. Most Surprising of 2022 To pick something outside of my top 10 again I would say Birdie Wing: Golf Girls Story or the second cour of Cue!. The first cour was fairly mediocre at best, which made the back half of the show actually tugging at my heartstrings and making me care for these characters was one of the biggest surprises. I think with a better direction (like introducing 8 characters a cour instead of all 16 at once) it could have actually been a great experience all around, instead of such a lopsided one. Stockholm Syndrome Award for 2022 The Strongest Sage with the Weakest Crest was at best a 4/10. But in the best way. I was looking forward to every episode every week just to see how insanely stupid it would get. Wholeheartedly recommend it on how comically awful that it is. Worst anime that I wasted time on of 2022 I Somehow Became Stronger by Raising Farming-Related Skills was far and away the worst anime I watched all year, only because no matter how bad I thought Strongest Sage was, it was always entertaining. This...this was just awful. Best Anime Season of 2022 Summer 2022 by virtue of the most shows from my top 10 airing there (although if I really tried to compare my enjoyment every season it would probably have to be Fall 2022) Worst Anime Season of 2022 Winter 2022 by the opposite virtue. Most Disappointing of 2022 Shikimori's Not Just a Cutie. I wanted to like it, I really did. But it wasn't until episode like 9 or 10 that I started to. Guilty Pleasure Probably Digimon Ghost Game, because its always in my bottom 3/4 for the season and yet I keep watching it because plot will happen eventually dammit. 'Elem Award' for Most Overrated Anime of 2022 I agree with the above, its gotta be Bleach. I can't in good faith say its CSM or Spy Family while Bleach is currently ranked number 1 on MAL. Top 3 OP of 2022 No particular order + Show Spoiler + Top 3 ED of 2022 + Show Spoiler + Best Scene of 2022 The Bocchi the Rock Episode 5 "Guitar, Loneliness and Blue Planet" try-out performance and later the Episode 8 version that was purposefully (narratively speaking) out of sync and led into the premier of "That Band". Or the finale performance with Kita's improvised solo which managed to make me tear up 3 times in a single day when I watched the premier, the clip later, and then read the manga that afternoon. To talk not Bocchi, one of my favorite moments in the Kaguya series also occurred this season, being Ishigami's reaction to failing his grades goal. Specifically the scene Kaguya follows him into the bathroom and listens in on him being honest with himself. + Show Spoiler + Best Female Characters of 2022 The entirety of Kessoku Band and Fran. Best Male Characters of 2022 Ishigami Yuu Best Seiyuu for 2022 My immediate thought is to give it to Fran's VA, because I love everything that comes out of her mouth | ||

Still need to get through Mob S3, having a bit of a hard time with it as I think the jokes in it are now overused and I don't really find the show funny any more. The plot isn't super interesting either. | ||

CSM was pretty good, a solid 7/10 imo, the last chapter was a bit underwhelming but the set up for the next season looks great. rewatching Mob from S1, im pretty hyped for S3 tbh Bleach was great, sick comeback! Jojo: stone ocean was very fun | ||

I can give some recs in a few weeks. I wasn't expecting this season, so I only watched a few new series. Once I understand the plots of what's happening and see how the characters, develop, I can give my thoughts on some. | ||

The season seems quite packed as far as I'm concerned. I don't remember the last season I was actually interested in checking out 3+ new shows. Must have been years ago. Ningen Fushin no Boukensha-tachi ga Sekai wo Sukuu you desu - The novel starts off as fairly interesting, but the plot moves slow as a snail, and I kind of forgot about this as I was reading the WN. It's not bad, but not particularly good either. It has an interesting pessimistic MC, but story is rather meh. The ones worth checking out this season for me are: Vinland Saga S2, Danmachi IV, Tomo-chan wa Onna no Ko, Tonari no Tenshi, and Tensei Oujo to Tensai Reijou no Mahou Kakumei. | ||

I also binged the second half of xxxHolic on the train today. It was decent. The stories were all pretty great but the main character was quite annoying and they reused the same jokes over and over and over again - and they weren't even funny the first time around. It made the show a bit of a suffer fest for me which is sad because it could have been a really good show imho. | ||
