It's a given. To Your Eternity is a goated classic. No fanfare needed. Now, the real criminal is Eternal Boys and Uzaki. Those are slice of life I recommend.
Everything else this season is as it should be. Bleach? Goated. MHA? Goated. Iruma? Goated.

Resurrected as a Sword is quite fun too. Rather innovative for an isekai genre.

So I've never really been an anime/manga person, but I've stumbled on this thing called Blame!
I really love its premise and it seems to be a story revolved around 'world building'. Watched the Netflix thing today, was okay (interesting, but not fleshed out enough, I wonder why..), but am really looking forward to getting the mangas some time soon.
Does anyone know anything else like this? I mean, for sure I'll have my work cut out getting through them, but I can make a list and check stuff out here and there.

You could check out the authors other works. Its by Tsutomu Nihei. I personally really enjoyed Knights of Sidonia.

Knights of Sidonia is cool. If you like the worldbuilding to be the centerpiece then I guess maybe Texhnolyze would be a good pick for you. Ergo Proxy, Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet and Akudama Drive also, come to think of it.

I'll be honest, I just can't fathom how someone who is an anime only can watch Chainsaw Man and think its AOTS/AOTY type stuff. Its been like 7-8/10 at best this entire time to me. I've only talked to people who have read the manga, so I have no idea if I'm just a subconscious contrarian/hater or if that kind of AOTS/AOTY talk is just manga readers saying that because the manga NOW is that good the anime now should be treated as that good too.

Some people just wanna be difficult. CSM is aight. At best. To your Eternal is better and this is a continuing anime. Hell, Mob Psycho this season has had 3 good episodes and it's better than CSM. CSM has the gore factor going for it (Until JJK comes back).
It's no where near close to being AOTY/AOTS.

What is being animated in CSM is essentially the prologue. Still probably the best this season since there really isn't anything that stands out really that is better.

I kind of agree with Slaughter. If the season is fairly mediocre, even a mediocre show can be aots... However, there is also the fact that people in recent seasons consistently hype the most popular shows each season and rate them 10/10 regardless of how good they really are. You can see this on MAL for example. Every season a few anime will shoot up into the top 50, often even top 10 during their run.
