This upcoming season could be good depending on preferences. I can see at least a couple of shows that will be a fun watch:
DanMachi - been waiting since last season, definitely watching. First episode felt like a good summary of what I recall reading so hopefully the pacing is good and not too fast.
Mahouka - Will likely watch. I enjoyed the first season of Mahouka as odd as that sounds and have no problems watching OP MCs. Let's see how much more OP Tatsuya gets!
Noblesse - have to watch the prequel, will give it a try though. I've read the source and it was amazing. Would highly recommend it. However, I can't help but worry about them butchering it. I heard that CR originals were butchered hard before so guess we'll see if that's the case here.
Higurashi - never watched the original so a good chance to see the remake.
Dragon Quest - same as Higurashi.
Tonikaku Kawaii - apparently a really good romcom and first episode was ok so far. Will probably try for several episodes at least.
Majo no Tabitabi - Sounds like a nice SoL anime and those can be really good. Hope it delivers.
On another note, I rewatched Clannad after such a long time. Still a great watch though the ending is a bit iffy in Afterstory if you don't follow the developments carefully. Also, Nagisa best girl!

Higurashi is a classic. I remember wanting to watch the original but never getting around to it. Something about "When they cry" just gets me really interested to see what it's going to be about. Good psychological.

I hear Clannad is similar to ToraDora minus the comedic side? Would you recommend for comedy/slice-of-life?
Also, any recommendations for anything similar like Prison School, Grand Blue, or Seitokai Yakuindomo?

The new Higurashi anime is decent so far. Its better than the abortion of an anime the original adaption was, so far at least. Hopefully this new adaption can do the VN some justice.

Also, any recommendations for anything similar like Prison School, Grand Blue, or Seitokai Yakuindomo? Clannad isn't really a comedy/slice-of-life. It's kind of it's own wonky supernatural-rom-com-drama-comingofage-anime.
It's a rollercoaster of emotions. You'll laugh, cry and frown all in a single episode. But it's worth watching just for her parents. Best parents in the entire anime and manga history, particular the dad.
edit: If you're looking for dank comedy then D-Frag, Hinamatsuri and Seto no Hanayome could be options.

Oh no, I thought ToraDora was an emotional rollercoaster, now I wanna ride the Clannad coaster.

Every single scene in Seto no Hanayome is pure meme material. + Show Spoiler +

Tbh, I thought the first season of Clannad was quite lackluster but the romance was really good compared to what most Anime do. It's also important as a build up for the sequel and After Story is on a different level.

Golden Kamuy is back and it did not disappoint. Can't wait for the rest of the season.

I hear Clannad is similar to ToraDora minus the comedic side? Would you recommend for comedy/slice-of-life? Also, any recommendations for anything similar like Prison School, Grand Blue, or Seitokai Yakuindomo? tbh I haven't watched Toradora in almost 7 years now so I can't vouch for the comedic aspect comparison, however, Clannad has a comedic aspects as well. Our MC is a delinquent who is constantly playing tricks on his friend/others and the parents are pretty good at this too, even if it gets repetitive at times. I'm not sure if I would recommend it solely for the comedy aspect though since the plot for Clannad and especially Clannad AS can get pretty heavy and emotional and the comedic aspect feels like it's on the side. It's similar to how 3-gatsu did their comedy I feel so that should give you an idea.
Having said that, I highly recommend the anime. Clannad AS kicks things up a notch, but start with Clannad first so that you get character backgrounds and see how things develop. It makes AS a lot more enjoyable when you see how characters changed and how things developed. If you decide to watch Clannad, make sure to pay attention to the story. They make some references that come into play later.

Golden Time was good to a point, but the ending felt really iffy considering how things went down so he may not be satisfied with it. However, Clannad, Seto and Orange are all good anime to watch if you haven't. Be sure to share your thoughts once you have watched them. Also, if you need more convincing for Clannad, here's a funny clip from Clannad AS: + Show Spoiler +

If Maoujou de Oyasumi is just remotely as good as the manga my sides are going to be hurting every tuesday.

Recommending Seto no Hanayome just made me start rewatching it. I think it's a show you either absolutely hate or love. :D

Right now I'm kind of morbidly curious as to what this anime is going to do. Ryukishi07 (the guy who wrote the VN) is supervising the plot and script for this anime, and recently I saw a videowhere he was asked what this new anime will bring to the table, and he started talking about how the new anime is going to go in a very different direction than both the VN and the original dumpsterfire anime. His involvement is a good thing, but apparently its going to be venturing into the unknown.

Fruits Basket was animated back in 2003 I believe or whenever it was. Although I personally enjoyed it, the anime didn't follow the source closely, shuffling things around and changing some stuff too. The author was extremely unhappy with the final result. They recently remade it and have been following the source and imo, it's pretty solid and well done. I am hoping the same is true for Higurashi.

So it turns out the new Higurashi anime is actual a sequel. RIP people who are just getting into it now lol
|
The animation in the new Higurashi anime is worse than the old one somehow. Makes me wonder what's the point.

Ryuukishi07 is such a troll, lol. He was holding himself back from laughing in the interview about the upcoming Higurashi anime:
Reminds me of Urobuchi's interview of Madoka when it first came out.
The new anime is a sequel that occurs after Higurashi Kai. More specifically, + Show Spoiler +It looks to be a new fragment of the game board that was picked up after Higurashi Kai. There looks to be some Umineko references in the OP song, so it looks like AuAu is playing around with the game board again. Who knows, maybe Lambdadelta might even show up?

Art style is better, animation and body proportion is worse. Just look at the scene after the first when he wakes up in bed. Apparently the main character legs is only as long as a normal person's knees.

My speculation is + Show Spoiler [Umineko] +they will show the logic error that AuAu created which made her abandon the game board and lead to Bernkastel leaving the game board, separating from Rika.

Animation is minor stuff for a series such as this. As long as they're not using the original sprites of the game, I'm happy.
