Anyway, Boogiepop Phantom was aites. Cool OP/ED combo and the ost sounds neat, though I don't generally like it when the anime cheekily admits it's trying to confuse the viewer (the chorus of ED is something like what's going on/what's happening here). A lot of really silly ham fisted dialogue though. Really jarring to see an anime try to go for some cheeky non-linear narrative and then basically tell you what is happening/what the show is about like every other scene. I should go watch the original. Shauni always recommended it so I was planning on seeing it, but I burned out of anime before I got to it. Also I watched Taisho Yakyuu Musume over like the New Years or something. That was pretty good. Really comfy. | ||

Really comfy. if I remember correctly and this is a long long time ago so its vague, the original did roughly the same thing but to a significantly lesser degree then what you are describing there. + Show Spoiler + " Is it a ghost story ? maybe that was the point then. kind of cute. i mean, it's not a deal breaker, but definitely something that i wish people did less often. it's kind of cheesy and doesn't do anything | ||

Just watched ep1 of the original the other day because I wanted to watch that before the new one. Seemed alright. | ||
