Guess this is the relaxing anime that I keep hearing about. Decided to take a quick peek at some of the upcoming anime, this one caught my eye. Post-apocalyptic world with some survivors etc... Most of the other anime seem rather bland or frankly boring... https://myanimelist.net/anime/35838/Shoujo_Shuumatsu_Ryokou pls stop being off-topic, this is the monogatari thread
crab #1

I reiterate - Cat #1 and I will hold that position until long after my heart has quit beating. Literally can't get to Crab without Cat. Cat got shafted.
Also, referring to the "strange commentary" in Centaur's Problems... when I say strange commentary, I mean there's moments in the show where the sociopolitical underpinnings of that society just suddenly pop up and you can feel the propaganda-like atmosphere creep in as they discuss equality and political topics + Show Spoiler +to say nothing of that one episode with the concentration camp thing going on , and some of the background dialogue and signs you see through the show. It's not a focus for the show, it's just that randomly, someone will be like "ack, don't do that, you'll be arrested for discrimination!" or something similar. Still a good show.

Original Message From NeoIllusions: [...wall of politics because german election and all...] Thanks for the talk. Here I thought my opinion of you was going to improve from all this but then you had to say complete utter nonsense like Hanekawa is worse than Nadeko. Now I think even less of you.
sigh... sasuga Toad... We obv weren't meant to be.
:3
I bet Icehism would have appreciated my answer though... I think he was one of the few who liked Nadeko besides Elem and me?

The old Kino no Tabi, though relatively short and obviously incomplete (although given the episodic nature of the story that's not such a bad thing) is a 10/10.
I'm hoping against hope that they don't drop the ball with the new one...

Hmm interesting, I'll probably give it a shot at some point then, although it seems like it could be quite distracting and dissonant.
@BigFan
There's a lot of relaxing anime out there, and they come in many different flavours. One of my favourite genres/styles and certainly not something I've ever seen in Western media.

Fuck my shit up
OPM s2 will be done by J.C. Staff and a director that isn't Shingo Natsume
Why must my day be ruined by such terrible news, bet we won't even have Yutaka with the sakuga this time

Can someone please change the name of the thread back? Changing the name of the thread is incredibly stupid, nor is it funny.

The show is an sol at its core, so anything goes really. They deal with enough wacky shit (eg. literal ancient aliens) that it doesn't matter at all. I call the commentary weird because even though you can draw parallels to modern society, the presentation is so incredibly strange that I sometimes can't even tell if the author is trying to make a point.
+ Show Spoiler [Knights & Magic] +Honestly, I expected something cooler. The Vyver basically got soloed by Ernesti doing normal stuff.
The poor prince only exists to use blast howling. What a waste of a mech.

after that it is bat and then cat/bee? for him

It's obviously bat = crab > bird = monkey = bee = cat > doll > rest.

No way. Nadeko is annoying. Not to mention her best scene where she starts yelling at shit was outdone by hayamin in inou battle. I kind of like how she got tricked by kaiki tho. Drawing manga is the best.
Crab > bat > cat > ougi > bird = math > gaen/kagenui/kaiki/meme > snek > rest

Kisshot + Kanbaru best. Hanekawa and Crab are the next tier.
|
I know there was at least one guy in here who liked nadeko besides elem and me... who was it if it's not ice
On September 26 2017 05:17 Numy wrote: It's obviously bat = crab > bird = monkey = bee = cat > doll > rest. wtf is wrong with you. Obviously ononoki isn't anywhere near bat/crab tier but last place outside unnamed characters? But I am so waiting for the time when you watch Owarimonogatari's 2nd season. I need to see that post from you. PM me when it happens so I don't miss it.

Mfw Toad asking others what's wrong with them. Poor memory and poor taste. Smh.
|
He also forgets I'm of the opinion that almost all the girls are pretty great in gatari anyway. Difference between non crab/bat characters is pretty small. Monkey/Cat stand out the most but I like fire sisters too much to not have them be close.
I'll watch when BD come out.
