+ Show Spoiler + Jack is a nice mix of creepy and cute for a spirit of her reputation. Pretty cool fights showing off Mordred vs Jack and vs Chiron plus some Mordred backstory. I kinda hope the paralyzed mage doesn't die because her and Chiron were nice. | ||

Most of the other masters either are scum like Siegfried's master or haven't revealed themselves. | ||

Of course I don't expect a good end but mages who are like them seem to be a minority if you look through a lot of Nasuverse works. Particularly those that participate in Grail wars. They aren't exactly clean themselves since they went along with the black faction but besides Moedred they are characters you can root for to at least survive the war. | ||

Onani Master Kurosawa and Molester Man are both excellent, well-executed stories, though I'd argue that the former is slightly better than the latter. The art style is very rough, but still effective. I loved both of those series. My personal pick would probably be Genshiken. At face value, it's your typical otaku SoL. What makes it unique is that there is an effort to make the cast people who happen to be otaku, rather than the other way around. When I watch Gamers, it makes me long for Genshiken. Aria is also up there, but I prefer the anime for that one. And we don't talk about Genshiken Niidaime. That one's just wasted potential. Pre-1990? Ashita no Joe. It's kind of terrible when viewed as a sports manga, but is otherwise excellent. It's one of my favorite instances of character development in manga. Joe starts off as an irredeemable little shit, but as he matures, he doesn't magically become a paragon of virtue. Despite that, his struggles and behavior make him extremely relatable. The manga's iconic for a reason. | ||

Will definitely give most of these a shot. Surprised how many people actually like molester man.
