That's about... every anime I've seen in the past few years barring something like Gate or, this season, KADO. Unless Yasaburo is older than I think he is.

Unless Yasaburo is older than I think he is. yeah I've seen this a couple days ago but I can't seem to find the link anymore... anyways yeah iirc no isekai and no teenage protagonist under the umbrella of "LNs that (young?) adults would want to read" or something along those lines. Also not the first time they're doing that. It might have been that last time only isekai ended up banned but I certainly heard about stuff similar to this at least half a year ago or so. //ah found something: ![]() https://kakuyomu.jp/contests/novel0_contest Someone still got a link to the ADT writing stuff? Maybe we should translate and submit Callers story :thinkingemoji:

The sheer scale and quality of the plot and cast is something I've been looking for in an anime for a long time and while the show had some issues like monotone and akward directing at times it was amazing overall. Some more thoughts about the show: + Show Spoiler [LotGH] + -Maybe it's because I finished Season 4 (87-110) in less than a week but the pacing felt much faster compared to the other seasons. Episode 89's pacing in particular was absurdly fast, the first half was about Reinhard's PTSD over Westerland while the second half was Reinhard asking Hildegard to marry him like an akward teenager. The tonal whiplash was incredibly jarring. -I feel a lot of the In-Universe hate towards Oberstein was unwarranted. His inaction during Westerland and his attitude in general is questionable but he had good reasons for them and, Kircheis aside, he was arguably the most loyal of Reinhard's admirals. For all the other admirals to badmouth him so much was very hypocritical (doubly so for Reuenthal and Bittenfelt). -Episodes 98 & 99 were my favorites. Reuenthal giving Mittermeyer his firstborn child as his "parting gift" was so touching and heartwarming, one of the few times I've shed happy tears for an anime. -It's a weird thing to say but I really liked Job Trunicht's character and would've loved to know more about him and how he became the man he was. There was something endearing about his scumbaggery and cynicism, he felt different from others like Lang who were treacherous out of greed and/or petty revenge. It's like something broke inside of him in the past and the Trunicht we saw was just a shadow if his former self. Rubinsky was similar but it was obvious that his goal was just to obtain more power while Trunicht never really made his intentions clear. -I wonder how much of Attenborough's character was anime original. His role in the later seasons was not negligible so if most of it was anime original I have little hope for the remake since it's a re-adaptation of the novels. It's still the only anime that can claim to be an actual epic. The show is definitely not flawless, but the characterization and overall story are both good enough that it gets away with a lot of stuff. + Show Spoiler [LoGH] + Nah, you're definitely right that the last bit is much faster paced. There are a lot of loose ends to tie up, after all. Oberstein is one of the most interesting characters in the series. At the beginning, you get the sense that he'll eventually betray everyone, but the ending makes it very clear that he was incredibly loyal - if not to Reinhard, then to the Empire. He is pragmatic to a fault, chillingly rational, and lacks any sense of social grace (or more likely, he simply doesn't care). The Empire values pride and honor to a fault. It's not surprising that the admirals hate Oberstein and what he represents - the espionage and intelligence services, the darker side of the Empire's activities. Just look at how Hilda's suggestion to conquer Heinessen was received: it's clearly the plan that is most likely to defeat Yang, but they still prefer to engage Yang in pitched battle. So is it hypocritical of the admirals to berate Oberstein? Yes, but it's also understandable. Plus it's not like Oberstein ever tried to curry favor. In the end, Reinhard recognized his value to the Empire, and that was enough for him. I love Mittermeyer. He's far and away my favorite character. His personality is extremely straightfoward, but it actually works well because of how varied the rest of the cast is. As a result, he comes off as one of the most heartfelt characters in the series. It's one of the things that really sells Reuenthal's death scene. I can't say I ever felt that way about Trunicht. In my mind, he was nothing more than an opportunist. Reuenthal's analysis was spot on. Now go watch the side stories~

Fuck yeah Favaro's back, shoud've guessed he'd be in prison considering the ED and that he's Favaro. The guy really needs a haircut though because he looks like a hobo. Looks like Nina's thirst has mostly died off now, I wonder if she realised her crush was Charioce all along. Yeah I'll get to them once I've played Dies Irae, wouldn't want to miss + Show Spoiler [ LotGH Gaiden] + The axe fight between Kircheis and Schenkopp On May 28 2017 07:53 Sentenal wrote: People talking about LoGH!
