Seems like most shows are coming in a week tho. http://sukasuka-anime.com Hm, synopsis sounds interesting but the trailer doesn't look like something I would enjoy. I think I'm going to give it a try. On April 02 2017 10:44 Grettin wrote: Whats worthwhile this season apart from the obvious two, AoT and hero academia? If you watched Uchouten Kazoku --> s2. If not, watch s1. Shingeki no Bahamut s2 might be worth checking out for you. I'm going to try a few more shows but only Uchouten is a safe bet for me. And even if there is a physical copy, it still has DRM and requires an online platform to activate and play. And Steam just happens to be the platform with the widest selection and most ease of use of the various ones out there. Sometimes different developers will have their own platform for this, but its essentially the same thing as steam, just focused on their own games. Battle.net, for instance, is essentially just Steam for stuff like SC2/WoW/D3/OW. I almost exclusively buy games at gog. Much better service, no DRM, global pricing, I can chose to use their client or just dl and install the games individually at my own will. I use steam mostly for steam-only games such as CS. like the killing of civilians I also marathoned Xam'd. The comparisons to Eureka 7 make sense now. Overall, it wasn't bad, but the writing sure got messy halfway into the show. + Show Spoiler + Nakiami is great. At the start, she's presented as cold and competent (much like Eureka in that sense), but they quickly demonstrate that she does care - she's just not good at showing it. She's simultaneously mature and immature. The double meaning of her name is also pretty clever, as it means they get to use it in various scenes for some added impact. I love stuff like that. Yango was also a surprisingly good character. He wasn't overly whiny (as anime kids often are), but he wasn't super mature either. It was a good balance. As far as I'm concerned, Nakiami and Yango carried the entire second half of the show. Akiyuki was fine. He felt strangely unimportant despite being a main character though. Haru... At the beginning I thought she was pretty decent. But as the plot progressed, she basically had long periods of utter stupidity punctuated by moments of clarity. A lot of her scenes felt like a waste of time. Furuichi was so spiteful it was exasperating. At least the end to his arc made sense. Kakisu's character arc sucked. None of what he did made much sense. Nor did the resolution. His aide was pretty interesting/entertaining at least. She's selfish as hell, but also utterly transparent. The parents were actually amazing. The story of their estrangement was really just a side plot, but it was handled pretty well. The lore was alright, but it was poorly explained. A lot of stuff near the end just... happens. Why was the emperor talking to Akiyuki when he was in his amnesiac phase, for instance? No real reason. A lot of other plot points felt utterly inconsequential. The appearance of Nakiami's sister in the final fight was pointless. Similarly, all the stuff with Haru's sister didn't actually affect anything. The most egregious plot hiccup has to be the crew of the ship. The first half of the show was spent introducing the crew. They then proceed to ignore them for the remainder of the show. Like... why spend all that time building them up if you're not even going to use them? Raigyo and Ishu got some token scenes thrown in at the very end, but otherwise, they didn't do much. At least Ishu got a very nice grieving scene during the celebrations. E7 has more visual flair, but I'd say Xam'd is better just because 90% of the cast aren't assholes.

You do know that most people who read a manga also like to watch the anime afterwards? I love watching a good manga become a good anime. And bones are doing a phenomenal job animating bnha. I came to terms with the fact that TLADT generally hates seasons I like and likes seasons I don't think are particularly spectacular.^^ I'm not saying winter was great but it was ok. Having one really good show is enough for me because that's already more than all of 2016 delivered together. Spring looks pretty similar in that regard. How are DRM free games delivered via steam? I don't really understand because having the platform is basically DRM. Can you download the games individually and install them without having the steam platform or what? I think I didn't like most of them. The OST is a different story though. DRM implies that you're restricted in how you use the copyrighted works, DRM free games still need to be installed through the steam client after which you're free to do with them what you want, you can move them from the steam folder to anywhere on your PC because they do not need anything other than themselves to run or function, meaning that it has no DRM. It's entirely a developer choice to implement DRM, it's also why a lot of games will never be on gog because those developers want to have the option of implementing a form of DRM on their games. To bring up a fairly relevant game when talking about gog and steam, witcher 3 on steam is DRM free as well for example, afaik. You can install all the DRM free games and then move then and then uninstall steam and keep the games forever, how is that in any way DRM just because you used a platform to install them? By the same logic gog is also a form of DRM since you need their servers to be online to get your installer to begin with, but it's obviously not DRM. Also 2016 had 3 9/10s for me, and spring17 looks like it will also have at the very least one show at that quality level for me and a few 8/10s. Winter17 barely had a single 8/10 which might also still fall down to 7/10 at this point since it's 2-cour.

I didn't know you could install DRM free games with steam and remove the plattform afterwards. That's nice but a bit impractical. 2016 didn't have a single straight 8 for me, so... A couple of 7,5s.
