Well, sure. You can say that about every show. I just don't feel compelled to watch the first ep of Konosuba when I can instead watch one of the weekly shows, watch Kaze no Shoujo Emily or, more importantly, play Torment: ToN which came out a couple of days ago...
China and Broom's robots were boring in design and function. I have no recollection at all of the German loli's robot, so it couldn't have been that great. Char had the Alteisen-chan, which is a nice bonus in her favor.

Wait you've never seen Konosuba ? Give it a try man , the strongpoint of the show is the comedy (similar to Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki Kun if you have seen it) and i actually haven't heard anybody i know at least that has seen it that didn't like it.
Actually episode 1 was pretty whatever it was episode 2 or was it 3 (you know the one with the frogs) where you'd appreciate why the series is good.

Just what isn't loli about her? Shes short, she has no curves, shes flat, and has a complete child-like appearance. Not that there is anything wrong with her being a loli, but her being the smallest and youngest looking of all the girls was one of her quirks.
Don't really remember any of them being noticeably loli, or if there was even a loli in that show. Also don't remember any other suits except Blue Tears.
I wouldn't call either China or Germany a loli but if you have to call one of them a loli it'd be China imo... just because Ger is flat (so was China iirc?) doesn't mean she has to be a loli

A page back I pointed out why the latest episode of S2 is a great example of terrible and lazy writing - something that has plagued Konosuba pretty much since the very first episode. Even if you were to like the humor, a few episodes in, the show starts to recycle the same lame jokes over and over and over again. What I did with the latest episode, I could do with pretty much every episode of the show, regardless of the season. The jokes aren't subtle, they have no build-up and they certainly aren't original in any way. Add cliche characters, a non-existing story, ugly art and you'll end up with one of the most overrated shows I have ever seen.
While season 1 was average at best, season 2 in its current state is simply bad.
I personally found the Konosuba episode from yesterday pretty lackluster as well, even though I still laughed quite a bit. Overall I prefered the first season so far.

isn't that exactly the reason people DO like it? It's a parody, in particular of the isekai tropes and cliché characters, so of course you have cliché characters. That's the whole point of the series (or well, at least a good portion of it), while giving them a minor spin that makes them "unperfect" so that they fail rather than the normal "perfect female companion and perfect male MC adventuring through a dungeon"
terrible or lazy writing are certainly not words I'd use to describe KonoSuba. And yes, the jokes aren't subtle, they're crude but they do have build-up. The whole getting karma'd and thinking something happened in Ep X only to realize 3 episodes later that something completely different happened, which ends up being the joke is a build-up. Although probably not the kind of build-up you're looking for.
As to which one was better... I'm not a fan or Darkness so I've just got to say that I'm not the biggest fan of arc-3, but arc1, 2 and the currently ongoing 4 were all great for me and I wouldn't want to pick a favorite out of those. Though once we get season 3 I'm sure vol 5 + 6 will shred everything that came before it into pieces
