Why can't we have anime CGI even being half as good as this. Sigh. . .
Because Blizzard has a budget bigger than all anime in a year combined.
I always find budget discussions interesting as the concept that more money directly equates to better quality is a very layered one. Activision Blizzard is publicly traded so there's chance we might get the budgets for their short productions at the annual meeting which would be really cool to see. I'm sure the 1 7 minute short is prob way more than a full length anime episode but I suspect it isn't as crazy higher as one might anticipate.
Whenever I think of large budgets and quality I think of Ubisofts Watchdogs. There's a game with an over "68 million" development budget. Rather absurdly large for a game. When you look at that game does the budget really equate to the quality you are experiencing? In isolation that's hard to tell so then I take a look at the Witcher 3. Now that budget is quoted at 46 million. Rather large but minimum of 22 million difference. How on earth can you equate the two in quality? What I'm getting at is that it's not so much how much money you have but how you effectively use that money.
I wonder if in the anime's industry drive to lower costs they have not inadvertently made it more expensive to produce anime at the standard quality than it should be. This is most likely just idle conjecture but I just find it an interesting concept to explore. Companies and industries in general tend to not reevaluate their core processes enough to my liking. Sometimes spending money to change how you do things saves money in the long run. Unfortunately long term thinking is lacking these days.
edit: How could I forget Destiny and Too Human for absurd budget games lol. I'm an idiot.

Bigger budget doesn't always equal better quality but it sure does help. Bigger budget generally means more animators/artists/producers/overall staff + more time spent + better software/equipment if needed + better talent.
In the end though, those are all things that can be overcome with a smaller budget if the staff is motivated enough, talented enough, and okay with working for less.
What a brother lol. Fight was pretty decent but of course, Yuta is really strong. Wasn't expecting the kegare legs but I like the fact that their addition was quite and short but had the right amount of flashbacks/time usage. Was expecting the basara to help somehow if needed but not this way lol.

pretty nice short.
Yea this was my fav onmyouji episode in a long time. I wish they showed benio with her legs missing though lol + Show Spoiler +
her new legs are awesome. I wonder why they are so pure and elegant though instead of looking like a kegare. Also, seeing benio cry from losing her leg hits my suffering fetish so much.
It looks like they still don't stand a chance against yuto based on the preview so they are still gonna need help I think
Souma's obviously gonna win, because the stakes are still too high.
As for the other rebels... Some of the more minor characters might fail, but I'm still pretty doubtful. Really though, does anyone actually care about what happens to them? I know I don't.

Yeah the last episode was great. Sousei no Onmyouji is my favorite Anime of the past 2 seasons.
They introduced a lot of new abilities and Benio with the super power up is nice. They managed to fit in a lot of action for an episode so the pacing was quick. I was surprised Basara ended up helping in that way but it gives Benio a nice power spike that she needed to catch up to Rokuro (and probably temporarily surpass) in fighting ability. Rokuro and Benio really are synergizing quite well at this point. They truly are becoming a couple.

I don't think there's enough Elite ten members for all the rebels, so you're probably going to see central members as well. Plus, banned Elite Ten members will probably help the rebels somehow. Also also, not Glasses plz.

Skip Berserk imo. Re;Zero is a must watch. shokugeki no soma is highly recommended. I like Orange & Amaama to Inazuma. Those last 2 are very slice of life so it's not going to appeal to everybody. Heard good things about new game.
kono bijutsubu this week with probably it's weakest episode yet. It really was just plain boring for me. Let's hope next week gets better again as I generally enjoy it
nice, i called the development with hayama like way back but somehow they hamfisted it and threw so much edge on it that it's actually just fucking awful holy shit the manga has been garbage recently with all these pointless 'unfair fights' that they obviously weren't going to ever lose
I'm like 95% sure hayama is going to be one of the new ET with azami holding Jun as a pseudo-hostage.
It's almost too cliché for it to not happen honestly.
why make him an edgelord? he obviously wouldn't need to pretend to be a bad guy to follow azami's rules, as long as he has a reason to follow them then azami has a loyal puppet, this edgelord shit is honestly just the fucking worst that's happened in the series so far and it's not because this series hasn't had low points before.
Killer Queen translated into.. Deadly Queen, kill me now Souma edgelord + Show Spoiler +
Hayama is an edgelord so Souma can have a big moment dazzle him so badly into tears while yelling Comeback to the light! and the crowd will be yelling how Soumas food is so amazing it opened his eyes and somehow related to opening the eyes of Central / people standing up against them]
