Well I don't care about the fanservice so the only reason I watch monogatari is really just for the characters and dialogue. What else would I watch it for.

Seraph would just be a lot more interesting if the main cast wasn't the main cast but then I guess the writer would fuck up the interesting characters if they were given more screen time anyway. edit: Is it weird that I think the MC of Haikyuu could pass for a tomboy given the right clothing and if he didn't speak? Odd design choices going here.

When Madoka was airing, half the fun was throwing theories around every week. The buildup to episode 10 was honestly really well done. When episode 11/12 came out after a couple months of delays (thanks to the tsunami), I found I wasn't really invested in the show anymore. The weekly intervals go a long way toward maintaining suspense and interest.

Family has been one of the core themes since the first episode and you shouldn't expect it to change. Compared to the first season, you don't have Yu crying for Mika and vice-versa every episode lol but you'll get those moments as you should imo. Also, seraph wasn't really bad either unless you hated their idea of vampires. Likeable cast, fights aren't too badly animated and even though not really apparent, there's a small mystery that's reeled its head towards the end of season 1 and getting more spotlight in season 2 now. Eh? The cast was horrible aside from Shinoa and the animation was utterly terrible. What's wrong with the cast? Each person has his own reason for fighting and I think they have developed well overtime into the team they are now. Also, I don't think the animation is anywhere near as terrible as you say it is. Anyways, to each his own. I look forward to each new episode every week and liking the story so far. + Show Spoiler [latest episode] + Damn, Mika goes on a rampage to get to Yu lol. The battle harem Animes had some good action and Perfect Insider had it's best episode yet. Yep! Agreed. Also agree with the opinion that watching weeky airing shows, even if they really make you want to know what happened, is fun.

If I watch shows weekly I'm definitely not that invested into them. After a few weeks I will stop anticipating the next episode and I will also forget large chunks of the details, which you need in order to speculate on a genuine basis. I personally made the experience that I enjoy it way more to watch shows like this in one or a few gos (an episode a day is ok as well) and go to old discussion threads and match up the speculations there with those of my own. Anyways, to each his own. I look forward to each new episode every week and liking the story so far. + Show Spoiler [latest episode] + Damn, Mika goes on a rampage to get to Yu lol. + Show Spoiler + Yuu and the red haired guy are imature brats that don't listen at all, think they are the best and yell at everyone all the time. Can they talk in a normal tone as well? I don't know. Bowguy is the typical weak guy that has nothing to offer but he does sooo much for the team spirit...only that, in this case, he doesn't. He is just there for the yelling-brothers to have someone to fight over all the time and protect to show how awesome they are. Blondie girl thinks she is superior to everyone, which isn't entirely false but her attitude clashes to much with Yuu's. Then you have the entire vampire cast that is apparently very strong and intelligent. Yet they act dumb as fuck, need helicopters to fly over a wall because they forgot that they can fly on their own, and let their oponents live on multiple occasions. As for the animation: I won't go through the episodes again to find examples but I posted some of them back then when the show was airing. You basically have scenes where characters are floating through the air, devoid of any sense of physics or anatomy of body movements. Then you have entire fights "animated" as still frames that are being shaken. I felt like watching a manga with voices in color at times.
