Never watched SSY, so can't comment about it. But then again, this is the same guy who went on the "I'm not sexist, but <grills shudn't talk bout mah gundam>" rant, in addition to being a rabid Relena Peacecraft fan, so its hard to take him seriously. | ||

GATE I was honestly considering to put up there as well because it clearly is one of those shows as well. Maybe not compareable with SAO but it's up there. I left it out in the end because it's still airing and only 50% finished and we all know what can happen to anime with stuff like Attack on Budget. Still possible they just spent way more on the first 50% as a salespitch in hopes that the last 50% will just be bought because people liked the first half. Not that I think that's likely but it's not in the realm of impossibility | ||

Yeah, SSY was really inconsistent and especially the animation wasn't that good. SSY and Gate also had some really terrible CGI. Like unbelievably terrible. Don't know about Magi, I didn't pay attention because I was too annoyed by other stuff. | ||

it's a distinct fetish point that the plot of seed clearly tried to sell. western anime watchers almost never pay, so they are not really relevant for the evolution of the industry. whales and fanatics drive it and fujoshi is among the most powerful of those groups. | ||
