Rofl thats good stuff. Though you probably can't truly appreciate the DEEN suffering unless you played the vn and know where they went wrong. You might have been thinking of UBW (the movie) that was also made by DEEN.
Basically you won't die doing Zero 1st. The most important thing for a Fate show is who made it. If DEEN burn it with fire, if Ufotable then enjoy.

Liked Naruto/bleach as well, but lost interest in both rather quickly.
I mean i dont mind, if there's a lot of mindless fighting in it, im not above enjoying Overpowered shit being thrown back and forth, as long as they stay somewhat consistent to the premises of the show, and the story doesnt drag, but still flashes out the characters and the subplots.
Any good fits?

While the Fate thing seems 100% DEEN I feel LH was more the source being weak than just DEEN. Sure the animation was garbage but ye the scrub squad was all source I hear.
As for what they did for Fate adaption. They effectively cut up the 3 different routes and shoved certain aspects into one adaption even though it started as a mainly Fate route adaption so nothing lands up making sense and MC is at the most awful point in the story by the end point. They then made a movie based on the second route(UBW) which was decent but since it's a movie it was more like a summary of the route than an actual adaption of it. The animation wasn't too bad overall compared to something like LH but not quite the level of ufotable.

honestly, everytime someone links me UBW scenes that supposedly look super good it looks maybe a bit above average to me with lots and lots of really, really good lightning/wind effects but not really the animation being what's making it look good.

For hand drawn, the animation in certain episodes is solid. Saber vs Berserker while the animation itself isn't godly the detail is excellent and it's animated well. It's not movie quality because you can't dump that kind of $ into a 24-26 episode show. I think that's why most fights after Saber vs Berserker have had a lot more dialogue where they face off and talk. Compared to most shounen or shows in general where battles have a lot of stills it's pretty great animation wise.
The CGI parts in the show are still animated excellently. That would be smoke/fires/lightning/magic/lights etc I guess?

I thought we already acknowledged that akatsuki arc is terrible. It is even eca unapproved.

Ufotable aren't really that amazing when it comes to animation/choreography. They just really good at lightning/overlay effects to set the mood. IG/Bones are far better when it comes to those things. Even Madhouse has some shows where they got really fluid animation. People that gush over UBW/FZ haven't really watched some of the more beautiful anime out there honestly. P.A works also deserves a mention for beautiful art.

shokugeki was so cute and fun. Everything about that was cute. Also, megumi is awesome. The flashback was really simple but it was pretty heartwarming.
