I mean i dont mind, if there's a lot of mindless fighting in it, im not above enjoying Overpowered shit being thrown back and forth, as long as they stay somewhat consistent to the premises of the show, and the story doesnt drag, but still flashes out the characters and the subplots.
Any good fits? Judging by what you like you would probably enjoy Hunter x Hunter. Ghost in the Shell is a great series with some good depth to it and a well built world. Another series similar to Ghost in the Shell is Psycho Pass, the first season is pretty good but the second season isn't very good. The first Hellsing series is a good Vampire action series (I don't like the remake series though). There are probably a lot of others, but this is a good starting list.
Stand Alone Complex is great indeed. I didn't recommend it though because it is mostly episodic and he asked for an overarching plot. It only has an overarching plot in the last 6-7 episodes or so and a little bit hinted in between. It has excellent world-building though, that's for sure.

You didn't seem too interested in FSN since there is no good adaption of the saber route so i didn't really consider it that important if you just wanted to watch some saber action (which seemed to be what you wanted) 
But yeah i'd strong recommend the following watch-order at the moment:
UBW->Heaven's feel(When it's out)->F/Z
I don't think there ever will be a good adaption of the fate route tbh, unless of course they decide to adapt it anyway, but afaik they started with UBW because they considered it more interesting as a starting point for the viewers iirc.

The only reason people say any other order is generally because F/Z is quite a lot better than FSN.

Finished Symphogear season 1. The last few eps were a bit silly but man that soundtrack is amazing. Swan song gives me goosebumps. The end made perfect sense though since the power of yuri can accomplish anything!

Lol we did tell you to not do Zero 1st when you 1st posted about it :3 but yea Zero does spoil some elements of HF (though imo it isn't nearly as big of one as people make it out to be).

I didn't really look up the movie you mentioned, I only remember you mentioning one. Kind of assumed that's an already aired movie and noone in irc mentioned starting with that so I just went with F/Z before FSN because the only one who wanted me to start with FSN besides you was eca because "you need to go through the DEEN suffering to get the real experience"
