But I hoped there'd already be a result of that Shokugeki in the episode, but the tasting of the chef's food took wayyy too long lol. Magic Cabbage or w/e was stupid, but somewhat funny. Megumi is super good, I like her a lot.

The magic cabbage thing was taken to an extreme. Weirdness usually parallels with OPness in these types of anime, so I could kinda follow through with it.
On another note, I hope the alumni make more references to Soma's dad. When Dojima reacted to hearing his name for the first time, that part was pretty epic.

For anyone who hasn't seen Fate Zero yet i'd still recommend waiting for heaven's feel before watching it, assuming you want to/plan to ever watch heaven's feel/FSN in general. Best viewer experience imoimo.
couldn't you have said that like 5days ago
Lol we did tell you to not do Zero 1st when you 1st posted about it :3 but yea Zero does spoil some elements of HF (though imo it isn't nearly as big of one as people make it out to be).
you told me to watch FSN first, I thought the movie you were talking about was something that's already out
I didn't mention HF specifically? My bad if I wasn't clear enough
Speaking of the HF movie, I heard they might break it up into 2-3 movies?
I didn't really look up the movie you mentioned, I only remember you mentioning one. Kind of assumed that's an already aired movie and noone in irc mentioned starting with that so I just went with F/Z before FSN because the only one who wanted me to start with FSN besides you was eca because "you need to go through the DEEN suffering to get the real experience"
The real reason why you watch DEEN first is because UBW's plasmids make no sense without experiencing The Dragon or The Dolphin.

i assume it's the non-hostile version of Haru is up already .. and Yahari + Danmachi is out ! all the hopes dreams in the world is alive again
any episode that is not about MC is a good episode in a harem show imo. Not that it being about MC is bad, it's a harem after all but it was really refreshing that way for me.

Any anime that has non-Japanese (Western) characters tend to benefit greatly from dubs I've found, like Baccano, Black Lagoon, Bebop, etc.
No, you're just wrong and need to have your ears cleaned. Just because those dubs barely pass as acceptable doesn't mean they hold a candle to their vastly superior counterparts.
You're watching womens basketball and not Lebron James basketball. For shame.

That's not a "preference". That is your superior ears that clearly also have better taste in music and can also discern slight changes in peoples emotional tones when speaking. Those that enjoy dubs are referred to as "tonedeaf" or "actually deaf" or "dropped on the head as a child".
Though one person who shall remain nameless that I cussed out still gave clannad a 10/10 so he's kinda cool. But he's also a total fggt for enjoying dubs.

Sick opinions m8 I will say that no one can replace the legend that is Norio Wakamoto
I've never been really impressed by any of the notable/acclaimed dubs. I've watched bits of Cowboy Bebop, all of FLCL, and a few others dubbed but they never really impressed.
I'll admit that it could just be the bias of watching the original Japanese first, but I'm not really sold on the "dub is comparable to the original Japanese" thing. It's not just for anime too. I certainly wouldn't want an English dub over my favorite foreign films. >_>

I started out with dubs back when I had no internet and all my anime was on TV, so I kinda have a soft spot for dubs.
these days though I give it the same treatment that I give to anime adaptations of manga, "if I've already watched the original VA subbed, why would I watch the dub?"
There are certain anime where I ended up liking the dub more. I think its because A) I watched the dub 1st in those instances and B) I actually think Dubs do a better job when its a more comedy and/or light hearted anime. English dubs fucking blow at attempting anything serious or filled with tension.
Depends on what comedy. I think slapstick and the loud boke/tsukkomi is easier to get across than some of the more subtle and pun-related jokes. In that sense, I imagine someone trying to do a good job with Nichibros would find it so much easier to execute than something like Nichijou, or even something like Azumanga Daioh since the voices in Azumanga are so distinct and I think any attempt at emulating Chiyo or Osaka is going to end in disaster/grating ears (if you're not already grating your ears at the Japanese voice).
I've watched db/dbz/dbgt and yugioh in dubs so I would never try the subs at this point for these shows. Otherwise, I always prefer subs. If I'm going to be listening to an anime in english, might as well not watch it altogether lol.
