If you come in here looking for "anime recommendations" then please refer to this chart before posting: Anime Recommendations (as of may 2014). We also have an IRC channel called #tladt where we all hang out. The channel is on Rizon, not QuakeNet! Feel free to check it out. TLADT discord is Discord.gg For currently airing anime, please see Anichart.net

Well, A/Z s2 was a trainwreck but at least it had comedical value as well as high production values. I wouldn't recommend Seraph. It's just bad all around. A lot of people still love it though, so I don't know. Same with Danmachi but that one at least had solid animation imho. For Godeater: Should be worth to check out when it starts airing. Nobody will know how good the story etc. is going to be but it will probably look good because ufotable.

To illustrate what i mean, my favorites were Code Geass, Deathnote, Fullmetal aclhemist, Others that i liked a lot, with some reservations: Cowboy Bebop, NG Evangelion, Legend of korra, Attack on titan, Claymore (the manga, cuz the anime disgraced itself with that horrible season ending), Yu Yu hakusho... Liked Naruto/bleach as well, but lost interest in both rather quickly. I mean i dont mind, if there's a lot of mindless fighting in it, im not above enjoying Overpowered shit being thrown back and forth, as long as they stay somewhat consistent to the premises of the show, and the story doesnt drag, but still flashes out the characters and the subplots. Any good fits?

It has some slight romance aspects but they aren't the main story, just side-things that are story and world relevant (relevant to the world-building infact)

Other personal recommendations that might fit your criteria: Psycho Pass, Baccano!, Monster, Shinsekai yori Aside from that, we have a general recommendation-overview in a link in the disclaimer on top of the OP of this thread, so you might want to take a look at that.

No romance/comedy, but aside from that drama/thriller/mistery/action are all fine, as long as they're well done, and there arent any fillers in the story. I mostly watched better known animes, im not a hardcore fan To illustrate what i mean, my favorites were Code Geass, Deathnote, Fullmetal aclhemist, Others that i liked a lot, with some reservations: Cowboy Bebop, NG Evangelion, Legend of korra, Attack on titan, Claymore (the manga, cuz the anime disgraced itself with that horrible season ending), Yu Yu hakusho... Any good fits? Judging by what you like you would probably enjoy Hunter x Hunter. Ghost in the Shell is a great series with some good depth to it and a well built world. Another series similar to Ghost in the Shell is Psycho Pass, the first season is pretty good but the second season isn't very good. The first Hellsing series is a good Vampire action series (I don't like the remake series though). There are probably a lot of others, but this is a good starting list.

Thanks to both of you, i've seen the chart, but i cannot really trust it, cuz in general some shows/books/whatever have great description and shitty content, and some great content get a disheartening, awful summary, so I just trust personal recommendations over those. (I dont watch trailers for the same reason. The 2nd twilight movie might be the worst high budget film ever created, but if you dont know the franchise and watch the trailer, you might think it's gonna be awesome, cuz the trailer looks legit)

So saying you don't trust the chart is equivalent to saying you don't trust the regulars in this thread (and some people don't, but then that's a different issue).

I meant no disrespect, but i'm more of a casual anime-fan, but got a very critical mind, so while hardcore fans probably appreciate the more niche, and lesser known/ new series, those probably arent for me, and as shown above, I still havent seen several of the classics, that do not appear on the chart, for obvious reasons. Nonetheless, i shouldnt have said i dont trust the chart. But i did check it, before posting, asthe OP says, but couldnt really come away with anything, that s why I asked.
