Finished up GitS:SAC 2nd Gig now. What a series.
+ Show Spoiler +On May 06 2015 21:57 Zergneedsfood wrote: I think SAC2 has the better political/military drama but SAC, thematically in a lot of ways, is superior because it does a better job of tying the individual episodes into the greater framework of the story. SAC2 on the other hand has individual episodes that are good but are less about fulfilling some kind of all encompassing theme and just expanding certain characters. That makes for some great episodes (the Saito episode was great) but I think that speaks to the first SAC's ability to make everything connected.
Oh and SAC has the better antagonist. I think I can agree with this post entirely. The structure of s1 and s2 were handled in a pretty different way and thus both shows had parts that were superior to the other one's. I can't really say which season I enjoyed more because I enjoyed the hell out of them both. It also happened that both had some fluctuation in the quality of their stand alone episodes but that's tobe expected. The final ramp up and wrap up in the last third was handled exceptionally in both series. I especially liked how they didn't fall into the "make the last episode a wrap up episode only" trap but would rather start the wrap up intertwined with the story and action in the last episodes. In the end I can only repeat what I said when I finished Season 1: On April 28 2015 06:23 Miragee wrote: Overall I loved this show, definitely one of my favourites I ever watched. It basically had everything, an intriguing plot; good pacing; intelligent dialouge; destinct, realistic and likable characters; good worldbuilding; good art, animation and action; amazing soundtrack...
I gave both seasons a strong 9/10. It's borderline 10/10 but I somehow couldn't bring myself to give out the 10/10. Though both seasons place on #2 for my favourite shows of alltime (yeah above AS, even though I gave out a 10/10 in the end, lol).
Now I feel like I'm in need of something battle shounen like with adventure and stupid comedy, lol. Suggestions? I still have things like Log Horizon, Great Teacher Onizuka and Magi open on my list but there is probably more. I also somehow feel like starting to rewatch One Piece or Pokemon again but I also think I will regret it.
I was just reading OPM chapter 56 and:
+ Show Spoiler +Wow, Saitama made King #1 s-class hero, that's so fucking glorious I can't stop smiling at this. xD Also the art of the bird in chap 55, just wow. ![[image loading]](http://i22.mangapanda.com/onepunch-man/55/onepunch-man-5226225.jpg) ![[image loading]](http://i14.mangapanda.com/onepunch-man/55/onepunch-man-5226227.jpg)

Is that symbolism of murica airstrike?

Nah I don't think so.
Damn now, I reached the point where I have to wait a week for each chapter (or is it even 2-weekly?). But I finally gave myself a forum avatar on MAL. I think it's pretty appropiate for that place.

King is rank 7 S-class, not #1 btw. From the first panel king is really in: + Show Spoiler +
And chapters are released very randomly, sometimes weekly, sometimes multiple times in a single week and sometimes monthly. Their length also vary a lot. You can always go read the original though if you want to get further into the story. Murata works on a "when i have time and feel like it" schedule. If he sticks to his 'approximate' plan then there's a new chapter in 3 days. On the bright side, he was streaming himself drawing earlier so we probably really will get something in 3 days.
Also seems like the DxD anime is going to fuck up the chronology even more and we wont get + Show Spoiler +[wrong choice] These are supposedly the titles of the 3 last episodes: >Episode 10.二天龍 vs ロキ! (Two Heavenly Dragon vs Loki!) >Episode 11.ジャガーノート・ドライヴ! (Juggernaut Drive!) >Episode 12.乳龍帝誕生! (Birth of the Breast Dragon Emperor) With episode 11 being named juggernaut drive it seems we wont get juggernaut drive vs Shalba Either that or we get Juggernaut Drive twice during this season, which seems unlikely since that'd kill Issei On the bright side it looks like a new translator finally picked up the LNs where CZ dropped them.

Oh, I mistook the 7 for a 1 then later on... But still.
Thanks for the heads up on the release schedule. I will probably wait then for multiple chapters to get released and read them all together. And yeah, I could check out the original web comic (btw. how far is the Murata manga with adapting the webcomic?) but I feel like Murata's art is worth the wait and I feel like it would take a dump on my enjoyment after seeing so much awesomeness.
//On another note: I'm glad that I picked up Mushishi. It's really nice so far. + Show Spoiler +I loved the last story in ep5 with the wandering swamp. I'm also glad that I now had quite a streak in picking great animes to watch. I feel like I can take something bad again. :>

Murata is just about halfway, maybe more like 60% of the original web comic.

Man every time you post info about DxD it makes me want to watch it less and less. That scene was the coolest scene out of all the books so far. I was joyous for a minute or two before she came back.

More OVAs. Pretty cool stuff.
@Miragee - You just need to listen to your wonderful senpais. Not only do we know what all the good serious anime are, we all know the best trash around.
|
I'd say the best trash is just as entertaining and satisfying to watch as the best serious stuff.
Unless its mars of destruction. That's not even good trash.
|
Sometimes some good trash is all you really want.
|
So what's a really good trash show? I guess twintails is considered a trash show and it was somewhat hilarious. So I'd definitely like to hear some more.
|
On related news, from about 8 hours earlier:
[11:31:28] <Toad|> I could just rewatch Twintails a third time tbh [11:40:28] <Emnjay808> you would really rewatch twintails [11:46:18] <Toad|> okay afk, time to rewatch twintails
LOL that timing

Haha nice timing indeed. ^^

almost like they're bffs or something

Other trashy shows... don't think I have anything else that's equally trashy and at the same time as funny as Twintails. That show was just too good.
Kore wa Zombie desu ka? was pretty trashy and funny at that time. It's on equal terms in terms of trashiness, not sure I'd rate it as highly as I did when I watched it. + Show Spoiler [synopsis from MAL] +Aikawa Ayumu is a normal high school boy. One day he is killed by a serial killer and revived as a zombie by a necromancer named Eucliwood Hellscythe. He starts to serve Eu as her guard but he happens to deprive the masou-shoujo Haruna of her magic power. Haruna orders Ayumu to fight against the anti-masou-shoujo system "Megalo" in her place.
WitchCraftWorks isn't really all that much trash but just pants-on-head weird. On equal terms with Twintails in terms of enjoyment, but not on equal terms in terms of trashiness. + Show Spoiler [synopsis] +Takamiya Honoka is a regular student whose only problem seems to be that he sits next to Kagari Ayaka, the school's #1 beauty. They have never spoken to each other before and any small interaction between them immediately results in her fanclub beating him. Yet when a falling part of the school's building is about to send him to the afterlife, it's Kagari that comes to his rescue. Only... she's dressed as a witch, carrying him in her arms and floating on a broom?! Kagari tells him it is her mission to protect him and that now she can finally protect him openly rather than undercover.
Pretty much everyone except for IceHism watched Magic Jesus for it's trashiness and because it was funny that way. I mean just look at what we talked about when the first episode aired:

Depends what trash you like. Current season the best bets are prob Nisekoi/DxD/Mikagura/Damachi/Yamada. The Twintails/Cross Ange was some dam good trash that season. Nothing like transforming twin tail traps and lesbian dragon mecha.
Witchcraft works was dam fun. I second that. Seitokai Yakuindomo is great too if you haven't seen it.

+ Show Spoiler [Arslen Senki 6] +the kingdom pars fell fast .. i expected it would at least maybe 8 episodes with them starving and hiding behind the third wall and stuff ![[image loading]](http://i.imgur.com/QMpbh2A.png?1) The OP characters are gathering really fast too nicuuu.
+ Show Spoiler [Yamada 5] + Yamada succumbing into anything that Urara-chan wants him to do
so cute <3

The map is too good, I don't even know who drew it cause it wasn't even in the LNs.
Yamada ep 5 was pretty funny. Shiraishi and Nene are cute and I'm looking forward to next episode cuz preview lol
Best trash this season is mikagura or dxd. Next prob souma or danmachi

But yeah of course I know Magic Jesus, that was awesome. :D
Best "trash" this season for me clearly is Shokugeki, though it's not thaaat trashy. I wouldn't count Mikagura as trash, but if you do it's up there.
I'll check out Witch Craft Work first, seeing two people recommended it.

Twin Tails and Cross Ange are just trash, not the kind of trash that is worth watching.
|
Pff they just too high level trash for you. You aren't a good enough trash connoisseur.
