I just finished watching Black Butler (gorgeous art work, but shitty writing in places.) I hate harem animes etc - they're just so formulaic so anything a bit different would be appreciated. I prefer more disturbing titles such as Perfect Blue or anything pretty gore/zombie/weirdness-filled. I also prefer more modern titles to the old 'manga' video releases. (I'm a pretty animation junkie.) P.S. I love the works of Junji Ito if that helps. | ||

Try Mnemosyne. The writing and story execution was really bad in certain places, but that anime goes to lengths to be sadistic at times. There's a site called www.animatured.com. It's not an anime porn site, but just features anime more for older audiences. They have a long list of random non-kids anime you can go through...I remember seeing a lot of darker titles that may interest you. | ||
