That's a pretty broad way of using the term though, and you might as well as define all kinds of fantasy as chuu2 if you were to use that. Anyhow, I don't hate chuu2, if anything, I want things to be properly chuu2 when the situation calls for it. If you dig back to my posts on Tokyo Ravens a season or so back, you'll see that a lot of my complaints were about how some seiyuus didn't sound nearly as chuu2 as the work calls for...I mean, come on, you are doing sutra incantations for onmyoudou, you'd better sound like you are into it, or else it is just painful to watch. What I do have against are things actually at 8th grader level of writing. Trying to use mythology and references to occult and magical as a crutch. Gary stus all over the place without having a reason for them, etc. Lacking realism is fine, as long as people have the ability to create the suspension of disbelief necessary to back it up. When you can't though, there is no other way to refer to that kind of writing except in the derogative way you'd say chuu2. | ||

Judging from the trailer, all characters are bad-asses and roaches are goofy and remind me of Battletoads for some reason, so I am up for a ride! How much censoring and plot-cutting should I expect? Will they make it up to a second cour? Should I pickup reading scanlates in ongoing ? (thanks to Marvel editorial decisions, I will definetely have enough time for that. AXIS event 90% would be terrible, it's fucking Rick Remender going full hack mode afterall, and I don't give a single damn about Wolverine and Spider-Man and, even more, with GotG and Xmen still being handled by Bendis, so Daredevil, X-Factor, Electra, Moon Knight and Magneto is all what's left for me for autumn, before 80% of them got cancelled anyway) DC MASTER RACE PROUDLY REPRESENTED! or something.. | ||

I've read the manga yeah. The story really isn't anything amazing and tends to be on the clusterfuck side of things but it has some likeable/interesting characters and the powers/fights are awesome. I'd recommend reading it, yeah. The scanlators only translate new chapters when a tank comes out so the chapters arrive in batches. | ||
