I remember people used to say that the main character "goes from being the worst of /a/ to the best of /m/" by the end of Alternative.

How do you define works as chuuni? I was talking with someone that knows japanese and he defined it as "stories that introduce unrealistic elements and have it as a focus" and that there was a scale of how chuuni a story is (with something like Fate/stay night being super chuuni while something like Evangelion is less chuuni). He basically said that all sci-fi, magical(excluding magical realism), fantasy, most shounen stories, supernatural, horror, and etc are all chuuni to an extent while a work like tatami galaxy and the currently airring zankyou no terror are both not chuu2. So wouldn't that mean a lot of animes/LNs/VN/Mangas are chuuni?

he also mentioned that any dream of grandeur is really chuu2 as well and that any writer that can write chuu2 works also have chuu2
