where the cursed children's school was bombed, killing most of the class. In the middle east, the extremist interpreters of Sharia law, bomb girl's schools all the time, because women are "unfit" for education, or they don't need it etc. etc. tame reasoning compared to most of their lunatic thoughts, they also torture, maim, rape, and mutilate the girls/boys too, to invoke fear Also the behavior of Enju is fascinating, considering I have read many case studies of child abuse, and how it impacts human behavior. Enju's desperate need for some sort of love is all too apparent in the show, and so she imprints on Rentaro, likely the only person to have ever treated her nicely. Also the anime is not as political, but the light novel delves heavily into the politics in Black Bullet. It's a similar situation + Show Spoiler + for all the other cursed children as well, there are a few nice people here and there, (the detective in ep 1 is actually friends with Rentaro in the light novel, Dr. Sumire, the other old doctor who treats the cursed child, the old man Misuzaki who took care of the cursed children of the sewers,Seitenshi, somewhat Kisara, but rarely is there someone so outspoken for their cause like Rentaro is. Hell it's not even a cause thing, that's a concept for adults, but Rentaro outright treated them as normal little girls (appropriately), so it's natural they respond to him. Symbolism in episode 10 still spoilers + Show Spoiler + Rentaro asks Kisara what was the point of fighting for these people, and whom were they fighting for; what was the point. Kisara tells Rentaro to exact Justice. Rentaro bitterly laughs and asks her what Justice was there in their cesspool of a world. It's also exactly moments before the Monolith collapses. The blind cursed child is seen praying, and the physical form of "Justice" is a blind woman with a scale in one hand, sword in another. Also, I'm sure not more than a few of Americans silently watched and remembered, not in a political way, but the way the monolith fell. I felt the same chill I felt in my body, when I came home from school in 2001 on a mild September morning. When an anime gets me to think this seriously, it has succeeded in my eyes.

I think you are overthinking some of the things that happened in the last episode, basically the monolith collapsing comparison you made. I don't believe that the authors had that interpretation in mind but I could be wrong. As for the middle east, I can only presume you mean Afghanistan seeing the crimes that the Taliban do over there. Shit came out of nowhere and finished up so quickly, it hardly meant anything. If it had happened after they save the monolith, it would have at least had a point. + Show Spoiler + I'll be willing to admit that they could've shown more interaction between Rentaro and the students but I wasn't thinking they'll kill them. If anything, at one point, I was wondering whether they'll volunteer to join him or something seeing as they need all the help they can get. I believe the point was that hatred for the cursed children is at an all time high as is evident by someone using a bomb which even had some varanium in it. Yes, it's meaning would've be stronger afterwards since it means that parts of humanity haven't accepted the cursed children but regardless, episode tried to build up the bond then tore it down by the end. ps look at it from their perspective, you'll see my point. Still can't decide who's more scary Mayumi or Ayaka. I guess one is more physical abuse and the other psychological? Watched first episode of Akuma no Riddle. Editing to see what happens if I originally post on TL then edit from LD. hard to put in words but the story is intriguing, has some realism to it (treatment) and can be entertaining at times (humour and such). I'm also interested in seeing how Rentaro manages everything and to see how it all ends.

Yeah EP 10 was quite good.. i am even surprised i am the only one that is talking about the series .. doesn't a lot of people here like it in the first few ep Assuming there will be another season. I think Ricchan and Usa will go into a date or something and Sayaka/Mayumi fucks up their progress before ending the season lol. Sayaka is scarier. I like Sayaka more so i may be biased. I agree but i can never judge the show since i only watched a single episode of it and lost interest to it. I feel like it's just a action with loli show. It seems to be meh even in later episodes since i see glimpse of later episodes whenever one of my friends watch it it really feels the same thing. If maybe all the "initiators" are not loli's i may be watching the show but right now it just feels like loli fanservice more or less.
