Regarding Amagami, my thoughts based on the PS2 game: + Show Spoiler [haruka] +The route in the game was hilarious and batshit insane because of all the fetish stuff that went on... but the pacing was better (obviously), and I think I posted about it before, but they really messed it up and just seemed to cram all the bizarre scenes together in the anime and spoiled it. Beyond the hilarity it also had an anticlimatic end, and I thought the half-English part was also kinda nyeeeh. + Show Spoiler [kaoru] +They did a good job depicting her as a female friend, but despite how awesome of a personality she had with regards to screwing with people's minds the route was absurdly boring. I'm not sure how they're doing with that in the anime (haven't been keeping up with anime cuz this season's boring) but it was probably the most single-tracked and dull in the game, that I played. + Show Spoiler [tsukasa] +Best character in the game, but her route kinda ended abruptly She's the flagship character (cover-girl and all) so it also felt like they put the most effort into her "story." This was one of two routes I thought was far above the others. + Show Spoiler [ai] +Second-best, I think, and the other one that I would "recommend" to people playing the game and not wanting to power through crappy ones. I dunno, it was a mix of cuteness and sensibleness, it's amazing how refreshing normalcy is compared to all the trope-y characters. + Show Spoiler [rihoko] + + Show Spoiler [twin-tail girl] +I don't even remember her name
So... yeah :o I'm just hoping they can pull off Tsukasa and Ai. Tsukasa mainly.

This season is so boring that I think I can finish through a good 50% of 川上稔's light novels.

Just trying to catch up on the backlog of good VNs But I'm going at snail's pace, le sigh.

I'm back to reading a lot for now cause I don't have enough to watch (I tried starting Bakemonogatari but I'm not really impressed by it's performance (kudos if you get that reference)). I guess I'm just not made for anime as much as you guys. and uhh, yeah, SUNDOME VOL 7 OUT IN 2 WEEKS OMFG.
yay, smbody watching Kaichou wa maid-sama xD
my reading career is being threaten by the fact that onemanga went down and mangafox has too much crap on it(by crap i mean shoujo). Right now im using mangastream mostly for the BIG 3 but i will need a site to read manga online soon ....

For that, I think School Days really does win an award in my book as one of the best anime. i dont know how you judge it but i hate the story line in school day. after 7 eps, i decided to call the main char a JERK for playing around with 2 girls feeling... i like the last ending though (the horror one) Makoto is a real BRO, what are you talking about? You felt bad for the girls? Seriously, they were both manipulative sluts. I have to disagree here. While Sekai was definitively a manipulative slut, Kotonoha was nothing but manipulated the whole time, and far from a slut before she went crazy. On Amagami : While I hated the first arc because it was just plain stupid, I'm still gonna watch this because I have nothing else to do. Who knows? It may even be good sometimes. That's interesting, because I always saw Kotonoha as the more manipulative girl of the two. It was as if she was using her own fragility and innocence to capture him and fill him with guilt. It's even more present in the VN though, the anime didn't convey her manipulation to the fullest. Sekai was a lot more honest and straightforward with conveying her own feelings, which isn't a sign of being a manipulative slut.

just filter out the shoujo and shoujo ai? don't know what else to say lol
there's a ton of sites to read manga although some don't update as much as others. losing OM and Mangatoshokan really hurt, I've been using MFox and unix/manga.animea/mangavolume for the odd ones that aren't on MFox but then again most of what I read is what you consider crap, lol

Kaichou wa maid-sama is actually good T-T I thought it looked stupid and was like 'wow JC stupid' but I'm still watching it. Also, Higashi no Eden! So many movies I'm waiting to get subbed; Bungaku no Shoujou, Dissapearance of Haruhi, Naruto(lol)...
Is the Boredom Of Haruhi worth buying? I was gonna get it the day it acme out but put it off due to money, but now I'm wondering whether to even get it. Can't enjoy God Only Knows through text...also incase anyone was wondering I'm talking about the light novel.

I guess you know better than me if you have played through the visual novel then, but in the anime, I really felt like Kotonoha was the victim, since she was the one who was lied to all the time and eventually got psychologically completely destroyed by the events. A manipulative girl wouldn't have denied all of this as a plan, she would have had sex with Makoto right away, since it seems like that's the best solution to manipulate him. Meanwhile Sekai manipulated Makoto with what she called "practice", which was for me a plan to make Makoto fall in love with her, even though she won't completely commit to her plan, because she feels bad for Kotonoha etc etc. But then we have all the baby thing...
Well, I have to admit that Sekai's case is more complex than I thought at first, since she changes so much throughout the anime. However, I just can't imagine Kotonoha as manipulative. Maybe I should play through the visual novel to understand what you really mean.
On Kaichou : I enjoy this show. I think it's a bit better than a lot of crap I'm watching this season (Amagami, Shukufuku, Seitokai : those three I feel guilty watching them and I can't stop thinking how stupid they are). Maybe it's because it's less focused on the fanservice and more on the comedy? I think it has some good story and I'm gonna keep watching it for now.

"Maid Sama!, known in Japan as Kaichō wa Maid-sama! (会長はメイド様!, lit. The Student Council President is a Maid!?) is a shōjo manga series by Hiro Fujiwara."

Oh, and why use the recent update page when you can just use RSS feeds? It's so much more convenient. Or you could just check the webpages of the actual scanlators.
Speaking of Amagami SS, this page alone sold me on the Ai route. The cuteness was just too much.

Some group started scanlating Paradox Blue. It's like Evangelion without Evas and with riddles. There's supposedly hints to figure out the riddles in the manga, but I can't figure it out for the life of me.
