Fuck you Mamoru I'd say it's supernatural really. While a lot of stuff is explained there's an equal amount of things that simple are.

Aside from Csheep I don't think anyone would actually vote no for it after having watched it. The truth is that most people have hardly watched like...10 anime that aren't in the SoL/romance/drama categories in this thread...oh and moe.

Well that was a rather simply explanation between the two. I know quoting wiki is hardly a source but I found it conveys what at least I view as the difference Science fiction is a genre of fiction dealing with imaginative content such as futuristic settings, futuristic science and technology, space travel, time travel, faster than light travel, parallel universes, and extraterrestrial life. It often explores the potential consequences of scientific and other innovations, and has been called a "literature of ideas".[1] Authors commonly use science fiction as a framework to explore politics, identity, desire, morality, social structure, and other literary themes. I'm going to spoiler tag the below just in case. I don't believe there's any spoilers but I do talk about a few of the shows concepts. + Show Spoiler + Shin sekai Yori deals mainly with the concept of doing things for the greater good. It's use of the abilities or "fantasy" elements are really just there to set up the story. It's entirely possible they could redo the show without any of these elements and it would still function fine. It's set in a future that's a direct result of scientific advancement and also deals with ongoing "malicious" use of science(Behaviour/Gene alterations. I don't really see how it falls under supernatural. It's even one of the better pieces of modern sci-fi in the visual media. Modern sci-fi tends to be all action star wars clones instead of star trek or planet of the apes ;(

To be clear I liked it I just think you don't need it on a rec chart where Satoshi Kon is already very well represented.

It's a different studio doing it and will be new route or existing route(Info was a bit weird. There were rumors of them doing their own thing but supposedly that was incorrect). Same guys that did F/Z and KnK

But, the overall tone of the enemy is way more towards the supernatural I feel. While you learn what has happened with the human race (the whole behaviour and gene alterations thing) it is not really the main thing of the series. It is way more about humans losing control over their telekinesis and how these man-rat-things scheme against the humans. It's hard to really to put it in one genre, I just think the supernatural elements are stronger in it than the science fiction ones.

Stupid idea i know but it actually helped settling the bars low. And F/Z is good so i was not disappointed unlike SAO. So it was a better watch. People die when they are killed. - Emiya Shirou I don't wanna hear that fucking line again. Shirou making the MC from mirai nikki look good.

Shirou making the MC from mirai nikki look good. That line is so stupid because: 1, The translation is awful 2, It actually made sense in the context, since Shiro was returning the scabbard, which makes him in fact NOT die when killed. 3, gigguk is a douchenozzle
