The only long running anime I might actually check out at some point would be gintama but the episodecount being at 105115851ß0159158 does intimidate a little.
Gintama has no general story, really. And the longest arc is like 10 episodes or so? (correct me if im wrong, it's been a while..)
So you can just watch a few 'arcs' (most of which are 1 or even half an episode) and stop if you don't feel like watching any more. You'll have no trouble at all getting into it a while later, provided you don't forget some characters entirely.

Still haven't watched the latest episode of noragami, need to watch nisekoi ep 11. Those two kept me watching and scored really good imo. But what do I miss is "Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Come wa Machigatteiru." dunno if anyone watched it if no u should give it a spin, wonder if some1 can recommend something to watch that comes close. Noragami had awesome characters, nice story and nice graphic design. What I like bout nisekoi are characters and interractions between them.
Yahari had awesome MC imo, so far Hyouka seems good as well (haruhi here .. its ok I like the art style). Askin cus so far I cant see stuff to watch in near future.

Yeah I get that, but it's just shitty writing. Which is a shame, because the story up till that point was pretty good.

Gundam Build Fighters:
+ Show Spoiler +That episode was so good. They were actually able to take a shitty looking Gunpla (Edgia Dark Matter) with its pinks and purples, and make it look dangerous and imposing. Reminded me of some ZOE bosses at points. Then Double Build Knuckle was hype. And next episode... What I'm pretty sure was A Baoa Qu appears, and all the different Gunpla (including Bearguy-san lo) team up, with the caption "Gunpla Last Shooting". Sign me the fuck up, why can't next week get here faster. And why is next week the last episode!??! Pls more Build Fighters, Bandai!!!

Im impressed with how MMO-like log horizon actually is. Just hit episode 15 and they were explaining the dungeon mechanics like pulling mobs, aggro tables, off heals, etc and then having the characters talk about dungeon strategy the same way my guild used to during raids when i still played WoW. Loving the series so far.

And as for GBF Gunpla woes, get a load of mine. I go on HLJ, trying to get Wing Fenice. Its listed as March Restock at the time. So I place an order (this was like in February or something). March comes, its changed to Backordered. And then it goes from Backordered to May Restock. Its like Bandai isn't putting out enough Gunpla to properly rob me! And its not just the Fenice. Kampfer Amazing and GM Sniper doge both sold out, took a while for Star Build Strike to get back in stock, and Command Gundam is backordered and who knows how long it will be before that comes back.

lol good episode, the fight was pretty blood pumping and then the trailer for next week makes the finale very anticipating.

I dont mind with how unforgiving they made the dungeon look to noobies. It made me reminiscent of when BC Heroics were a new thing and if you pulled an extra mob it was pretty much, "gg guys, just wipe".

Would have probably been my favorite raid had they not dumbed it down so much with the first expansion... actually, now that I think about it, I think I understand what Eca's always on about how Log Horizon and how it's just so dumbed down in comparison to the LNs and why it's so infuriating for him

+ Show Spoiler [Gundam Build Fighters 24] +As far as final fights go, that was pretty lame. What the heck is "fighting ruthlessly"? Other than attacking right out of the gate, there wasn't anything else up to that point that would really be considered dishonorable. He's only aiming for your weak points? Wouldn't any fighter worth their weight be doing that? Continuing to beat up Build Strike after the fight was won was dumb too, but I guess I can chalk that up to having a shitty villain (Further evidence of shitty villainry: leaving Nils in the basement tied up with a rope). And then Yuuki proceeds to lose all his skill and throw the fight completely because we can't have him winning. In general, all the attempts at drama in this series have been really fucking bad. It's a shame too, because the series started out with potential, but I feel like a lot the fights squandered it by feeling rather samey, in addition to the awful drama. The series lacks soul.
