I don't see how those 2 shows you mentioned are related. If you are thinking along the lines of they're both supernatural, Shikabane Hime was pretty bad(don't judge supernatural shows based on this) and the Utawarerumono I haven't seen but reading the description I don't see how that relates at all to Ga-Rei Zero and Spice and Wolf. Spice and Wolf is mostly a romance anime and basically living life as a merchant in the middle ages. Don't watch it if you're not into romance. Spice and Wolf...the character design of the protagonist. That's why I mentioned Utawarerumono. In addition to that I looked at the screenshots. A naked protagonist and blushing of a character definitely don't indicate a mature anime, especially with a female lead. Ga-Rei Zero, more naked characters, more blushing. It's similar to Shikabane Hime in the regard that it is school girls with weapons...which is never a good thing.
I'm fine with romances when it's like Piano(it's simple, it's normal, it's just perfect(for me)). Kimi ga Nozomu Eien is a romance too, but that anime was horrible. It had some of the worst characters I've seen so far. Throughout the series, I always just wanted to punch them in the face(and just is a thing which almost never happens).

And Tsukuyomi -MOON PHASE- would be definitely lower than 7. Gun X Sword, Utawarerumono and Real Drive are pretty much dropped. Also, don't mind my manga list. It's not up to date. /edit 2: Don't mind my "plan to watch"-list either. I have like 20 more anime I will eventually watch. High 5 there buddy. I think I'm much less strict than you in terms of that though

TBH, I'd recommend Ga Rei Zero as well. Admittedly, there is a fair amount of bullshit and cliches that you'll probably roll your eyes at, but underneath that there is a genuinely good show. Also, FMP TSR has tons of lesbian nudity, and Tessa provides moe blushing etc, so I think you'll be ok. That said, there are some people who look at the show and can't get over what I consider the more mediocre aspects to look at the better ones.
Monster is another show I think you might like.
Edit -- and Cowboy Bebop! Not really good if you dislike episodic shows, but it combines action with terrific characters and a great soundtrack.

I was looking through your list that are rated 1-4. Having never seen those titles before, I looked up their descriptions. O_o
Okay, I'm going to drop the innocent act. Hahahahahahahahahaha.
On the serious note, Spice and Wolf is good. Don't know where you seem to get the impression that it's a fanservice-ish typical anime tropes show.

But Spice and Wolf is actually a pretty mature anime. And the seiyuu of the lead characters are Fukuyuma Jun who also voiced Lelouch and Koshimizu Ami who voiced Kallen.

Lesbian nudity, are you sure? o_O Yeah, I remember that. But, the good thing was: I didn't have to see her face that much. Hm, just looked it up. Was she really a major character? She either really didn't have THAT much sceen time or I unconsciously tried to forget about her.
I would have already watched it but the episodes are hard to obtain. I have 23 episodes subbed by Soldats, but that's about it. GTO is another anime which is hard to get -.-
Cowboy Bebop...I remember that anime. I watched it on TV but I never really got into it. It wasn't really appealing but maybe I was just to young, who knows.

OOa Cowboy Bebop is awesome. I still remember.. what was it like episode 17 or 19? Somewhere along there where Spike and the entire crew is all drugged up. LOL, one of the funniest episodes ive ever seen in all my anime.

On the serious note, Spice and Wolf is good. Don't know where you seem to get the impression that it's a fanservice-ish typical anime tropes show. I'm not Tenryu, that's why the hentai are rated so low. But it simply can't be compared to normal anime. Nevertheless, I rated them according to that.
The character designs, the style and the screenshots look definitely that way.

I wouldn't really care about that but anime of these kind are just that way. If it was made back in 2000, it would be entirely different.
Seiyuu are something, which I don't really care about. But, there are two bad exceptions. The girl from Shikabane Hime(the female protagonist) and one of the classmates(Kanda, Yurina) of the protagonist from Kekkaishi.
If you guys really insist on the Spice and Wolf recommendation, I will give it a try(but not now).

If you guys really insist on the Spice and Wolf recommendation, I will give it a try(but not now). You have to like dialogue. Lots and lots of dialogue. And economics.

tada Err, thanks...but that is the problem. I neither use torrent nor emule ;-)

What about irc? iirc Anime-Kraze has it on one of their bots.
Edit: and watching that much anime without torrents is really impressive O.o

Edit: and watching that much anime without torrents is really impressive O.o Irc is my main source. I have only 89 KB/s download(that's why torrent is useless(well, it's more because of my upload(really low upload-->really low download(like 10KB/s)))), so that's not really much. Considering this, it should be even more impressive

btw: How did you like Cencoroll? I saw some clips on NHK World a while ago and wondered if it's watchable(aniDB rated it pretty low).

Cencoroll was a really neat 1 episode OVA. Thats about it lol.
Well.. it did seem it could turn into a promising series if they made it into one and explained what was going on more.

most hentais I watched were pretty horrid lol, especially the ones based on ecchi/adult mangas those were probably the worst
(then again I might be looking at the wrong place, but finding diamonds in the dirt in that department makes me lose patience)

Yeh i mainly tried watching the ones i stumbled on MAL with high 6's or 7's and read whatever reviews they had. Some of them turned out pretty promising and hilarious.
Anyways on a more serious note. Im really suprised Lucumo gave Princess Mononoke a 5... i never thought there was some1 out there who saw the movie that way

From what I had seen...they definitely needed to explain some things(those creatures for example).
