edit: just read your profile... man Tomoyo so much better than Nagisa.
Holidays killing my anime time. Had to chime in because Tomoyo always best girl.
Also I noticed people listed Maou-sama as one of their favorite anime of this year.. I only liked the Lieutenant going over board with his duties everything else plot wise seemed....off. I would like to hear some in detail things about it.
I would agree, it wasn't hyper amazing or anything but its the only anime that I have watched 3x since it aired. It really is a nice anime to just sit back and enjoy. Maybe they will animate more of the source material and explain more of the plot elements in more depth.

For some reason, the opening reminded me of Nobunaga the Fool... Japanese/Samurai/death etc.
The MC is likable right now. Dunno how much she will retain of her personality after the power-up.
So far this season : Buddy Complex : Intriguing. I'm looking foward the next episodes before deciding if it's worth keeping or not Nobunaga : Worth watching a few more episodes. Nobunagun : Yay (so far)! SYD : Nay (couldn't finish ep.1 ; not my type of anime )
As for new Manga : I've recently discovered the Manga Freezing. For anyone who enjoyed Claymore, I feel like it's similar in many aspects. My biggest fear is that they introduce too many characters.

Freezing just finished a season of its anime lol, and the manga updates are atrociously slow.
Yep I'm liking Space Dandy so far. The English voices are well done, the animation is great it wasn't laugh out loud hilarious, but I expect more from future episodes. Though one of the staff for the show was angry that they changed Honey's line, the Boobies waitress. In the Japanese version when she was asked to guess Dandy's job she insulted him with a snide remark that went over Dandy's head hinting that the Boobies waitresses aren't as stupid as they act, but in the English version she just guessed a random word. The Japanese OP is also much better than the English one.
Freezing does have similarities with Claymore, but it of course has a lot more fan service and becomes more twisted.

In the Japanese version Dandy tells her that it starts with う (u), and she asks if he is an 蛆虫 (ujimushi), which is a maggot.
It doesn't have the same feel as the manga...but I guess that's okay. Let's see how they do with the other episodes. Kind of iffy on Hanakana's voice, but I think it can work really well. I can't see a lot of other people who might suit the main girl better.
The Freezing manga was passable at first, but it's become pretty laughable in the last few arcs.
Noragami is good so far. Nobunaga the Fool ep 1 was pretty unremarkable. Need to see a real fight before I can decide. Space Dandy wasn't bad, but it wasn't good either. Buddy Complex has some potential, but I'm confident they'll manage to fuck it up. Seki-kun for best ED
I just lost interest in Freezing manga after a while and the anime wasn't that great either. It is similar to Claymore in that there are female fighters and some sad/twisted elements but Claymore didn't have a lick of romance or fan service.
Toaru Hikuushi: Not a bad first episode, enjoyed it. + Show Spoiler +
The leaving part felt really dramatic lol. The whole Kal-el and Claire getting so close within 5 minutes of meeting each other felt a bit out of place. I guess they wanted to kick start their relationship and speed it up right from the start. Either way, it's not bad or anything lol. Let's hope for more Kal-el and Claire awkward moments lol. Taking three deep breaths to say thank you and also thanking him for holding her tightly XD
Too bad the second episode of Buddy Complex isn't out yet(I guess they reaired the first or something) since I was interested in finding out what happens next

Lol, I didn't know about the anime!!!
I'll definitely check it out when I have some spare time
I never read the manga, but apparently the manga had power armor, while in the anime they don't. Was one of the things that disappointed me when I watched the first season.

easier for boobs to flop out if there is no armor
When I'm forced to make the hardest decision I'm able to, mecha or boobs (and mecha boobs is not an option)... Then I'd have to go with mecha. Therefore, Freezing anime offered disappointment in that regard.
