It struck a cord with me at the time =\. Also Nanami is a bitch too.

I would not watch Mirai Nikki for the "drama" really. It is pretty great though when you stop trying to make sense of the insanity. I'd recommend watching the OVA as well if you want to really understand what happens in the end. On November 27 2013 03:12 XenOmega wrote: The last few episodes have been meh IMO. The fog ships don't feel as threatening. Although, it is nice to have a little bit more information on how they operate (still a lot of ? ; this episodes answered some questions, but created more) (also the explanation why mental model stopped being of the Fog :S + Show Spoiler + While I really don't mind the way they are deviating from the manga, the way they are explaining things does make the whole Fog feel less of a threat. It also become rather predictable where all of it is going. The manga has some really awesome storylines running alongside the I-401's crew storyline and they are almost all ignored. It takes out a lot of depth from the series.

How the main character liked her is beyond me and must be a poor reflection of his intelligence...hence his failings...considering that there is literally no appeal in someone who does not know how to take care of themselves.... Though I guess there's always that disturbing fetish to consider when men like women who are "subservient" and "need pampering." But...this is a whole new level.

Specially after my friend showed me that clip of the guy brushing that girl's teeth, that was odd... so yeah I really don't expect to watch Kare Kano 2 here ![]() So much love for that sakurawhatever show ![]()

Lmao this post came out a bit wall of text-ish so I'm gonna edit this a bit with spoiler tags. + Show Spoiler [Sora no Manimani] + Thought I was going to watch like Toradora with an astronomy fetish but was just the astronomy fetish really. Was a nice little show, too short though I felt, the characters were nice, the graphics were pretty enough and I liked they try to teach you about all these stars and constellations. A bit bummed nothing "happened" between the characters when there were so many people with crushes going around ![]() + Show Spoiler [I''s Pure] + This show was more or less a waste of time, it's short so I didn't feel too bad about spending my time watching 6 episodes. But it was such a cliche formula that has been done so many times before and much much better, overall from Suzuka to a 10 I would give it a 5, nothing great but meh could be a lot worse. I have to ask you guys about this one, maybe you've seen it and can give me your opinion. + Show Spoiler [Mizuiro Jidai] + I feel so weird watching this show, it's so odd watching 12 year olds having these experiences somehow, this is a shoujo through and through but it's odd to see anyone having a crush on anyone before they hit puberty <.<. I mean the main character gets her FIRST period in like the 4th episode. I like the show but I feel awkward watching it for some reason, and there's 40+ episodes of this. I would like to ask if they actually grow a fair bit throughout the show or do they just stay 12 and in middle school?, there seems to be a sense of growth and progression here so I would expect them to grow older as the show advances but I've never seen a show done that so that's why I ask. + Show Spoiler [Ajimu: Kaigan Monogatari] + This show was hmm slightly better than I''s pure but also felt very meh, short and simple story with meh characters and meh graphics. I mean it's old so I'm judging it based on that but still quite a forgettable show. Thankfully it was also quite short. I was thinking of watching FLCL or Escaflowne next, I was surprised to see FLCL only has like 6 episodes? I have no previous knowledge of this show but I always heard people talking about it so I figured I would watch it at some point, is it good?. Escaflowne is quite a bit longer and I've known about it since I'm a fan of Yoko Kanno who did the music for this and people I know say it's quite good. Also holy crap Maaya Sakamoto did the voice for one of the characters!? :O! Well I'm definitely more interested now <.<. Which one do you guys thinks it's better?. I honestly ran out of "dramas" to watch, except for some old ones that have dozens of episodes which I'm putting on hold the only ones that look mildly drama related are Mirai Nikki and Tari Tari, I've heard about Mirai Nikki and I know it seems to be quite an odd show so there's that. I know next to nothing about Tari Tari but looks ok from the synopsis I read. Will probably watch these 2 after I'm done with FLCL and Escaflowne. I don't care for FLCL very much, but its a very bizarre show. Maybe you will like it, maybe you won't, can't really say. Escaflowne on the other hand is one of my favorite animes, and I highly recommend it to anyone who likes good things. Stay far away from the movie, however.

I never finished it though 'cause the "twist" towards the end was going to make it even more stupid. you mean Aoyama's change of mind? I attributed it to several things: she saw his reaction when Mashiro was lost after she left the party, heard him say that he'll always watch her etc... and she also said that sometimes, even if you are close to someone, you can't tell them something. This was when they were discussing the demolition of Sakurasou and trying to come up with a plan. I guess these were all supposed to be signs to us and her that Mashiro won Sorata's heart. It's also possible that they just wanted to find a way out of the situation before the anime ended and figured that even after everything, she still couldn't confess to him which tbh I thought was fine even though she seemed like she really wanted to do it on Christmas eve. On November 26 2013 17:06 RuskiPanda wrote: I hated it after the second half. + Show Spoiler + Resets all romantic development after the airport episode just to keep the stupid love triangle going when its obvious the brown haired chick is never going to win. Dropped at like episode 15 in boredom. + Show Spoiler + tbh I didn't see it as a reset. Mashiro liked Sorata prior to that but at the airport, when he hugged her and told her to stay, that was the drive needed to convert it to love. She couldn't identify what it was since she's never experienced it before and was always focusing on drawing and working. For Sorata, he also said he likes her or rather, we knew that. You can see him running to the airport from the perspective of him losing an important person; whether a friend or more can be debated imo. He realized that he didn't want to lose her and eventually, he confessed towards the end. I think he had to work through his own feelings and jealousy before he could finally confess to her so from that perspective, him confessing like 2 episodes after airport would've been a bad idea. He even told her that he was jealous by the end but admitted that it was his fault and such. Could it have been developed? of course, same with most other animes. Was it that bad though? I thought it was ok and entertaining to watch but that's me lol. On November 27 2013 03:50 Slaughter wrote: I don't get why sakurasou gets so much shit. He had a knack for getting outraged over small things at times lol. I dunno, I did feel some of those were justified while others weren't but most were humorous to watch lol. Thanks! loved it ![]() On November 27 2013 05:23 Nagisama wrote: The main girl is so shit at life EXCEPT drawing. So it's annoying to see her succeed so well while watching the MC fail at life. She developed life skills and started to understand how things work due to the interactions. This happened as the show progressed where she eventually changed for the better (in some things). He still woke her up but she was getting dressed by herself and learning. ya, seeing her succeed and him fail was rough and I can understand him being mad but I don't think he was taking into account how much work she was doing and did to get to that point. She was considered a genius but she was always working hard, always rewriting things and staying up overnight. Genius+hard work is pretty hard to compete with but I feel like he neglected the second part and figured she just got there like that. imo, all the members in Sakurasou worked hard and harder as the anime progressed. Nanami being a bitch made for some interesting situations lol. She said she wasn't nice ![]() On November 27 2013 06:03 Zergneedsfood wrote: Main girl was actually one of the worst characters ever. But...this is a whole new level. + Show Spoiler + I think originally, it was her looks and how he thought she was cute (implied, not mentioned I think) then he saw how hard she was working and eventually fell in love with that. How she was focusing everything and more on the manga, always redrawing etc... and compared that to himself. She was a genius and someone who worked hard on top of it. He wasn't a genius and did no work on top of that or at least nowhere close. Eventually, after spending time with her etc... he eventually fell in love with her. She had no social skills because she dedicated herself to drawing, not that having no social skills and not being able to take care of yourself is a good idea. My opinion on it at least.

I read the manga somewhat, not too bad but not amazing SoL either. @Bigfan/Sakurasou: You guys are free to enjoy it but there are so many shows you could pick up instead I just don't see the point of trying to pass it off as a "great" one when its decidedly average at best.
