Sure they "should" do it considering the situation but it's awkward for me to see such a nice friendship to change so suddenly. This whole situation should come down to who has the best plan for the building and is the most imposing, the other 2 astronauts make the call of who's plan gets built but it depends heavily on who is the most convincing with his plan. Sigh I feel equally bad for both but I would side with Mutta in this situation, hope they both make it though somehow. This episode of White album 2 was a bit underwhelming lol, really not what I was expecting. + Show Spoiler +They seem to have gone for the calm before the storm episode, wasn't just me who was seeing Setsuna as a third wheel this entire episode apparently <.<. Now Touma is the passive aggressive one lol, with the way she acts with Haruki now and the things she sort of says. As I knew Haruki is a gigantic pussy and got rolled over by Setsuna so now he's going along with her, seems to me he doesn't really want to be with her but he's an idiot so he can't bring himself to reject Setsuna. Either because he's not terribly sure of his feelings for Touma or he's that big of a pussy, whatever the case it was kind of painful to see Setsuna in the middle of the two the entire episode. I'm expecting the next episode or the one after that when we go full hurricane emergency episode. It is so painfully obvious that Touma likes Haruki but she's playing tough now because OBVIOUSLY she's thinking she never stood a chance to Setsuna and since she has sort of gotten to like her friends she doesn't want to do something to destroy that friendship. I think it's mostly she's A) Afraid and B) Not terribly sure about her feelings either. Everything about this episode told me "Haruki likes Touma" then she mentions by next year she might get a bf and Haruki had this look of NOWAI on his face followed by Setsuna pretending Haruki didn't totally freak out and that he really doesn't like her <.<. I feel honestly bad for Setsuna. I get the feeling Haruki is going out with her just to be nice... so obviously this should go well later on >.>. Even Chiaki was like wtf why is he dating Setsuna? Seems to me it's obvious he likes Touma and his friends were like STFU you don't want to open that can of worms, but even Io was kind of agreeing with him but she's not as honest as Chiaki. Also HOLY SHIT am I jealous... fuck MENAGE A TROIS TAIM! IN THE HOT SPRING. Luckiest mother fucker alive wow, he totally saw Touma fully exposed there lol I would have enjoyed that soooooooooooo much . Haruki fucking sucks ugh, dude just fucking do what you want to do instead of what other people expect you to do. I expect his balls to finally drop by the next episode if not NOTHING is going to happen since Touma is just as big of a coward, he'll have babies with Setsuna before he's completely honest with his feelings about Touma if things stay this way. ya I agree partly with your post. I think this episode was quite major. It confirmed somethings we knew and others we were unsure of. So many hints dropped. It's that obvious to me that + Show Spoiler +he like Touma with all his reactions. Same with Touma. I felt that Touma was trying to get him to focus on Setsuna because she knew his feelings. I mean, how many times did she tell him to stop before he completed his sentences in the room at the end? Touma talking about her future boyfriend and being aggressive with him after we've seen her being so nice to him when he was over at her place? I think he's dating Setsuna because he can't handle saying no to her but he has feelings for Touma. Then as you mentioned, the mention by Chiaki about him dating Setsuna and such. You know what I would like? If more guys started talking and I guess hitting on Touma. This episode did a good job of showing that they are still together and Touma was accepting of them dating and such but I think having more guys talk with Touma and I guess flirt would add another dimension to the show. I want to see how Haruki would react to that. Would he just look from the side or involve himself in it? Either way, good episode. I didn't expect the start either, felt out of place since I figured that there would be some fireworks but Touma was so accepting lol. I guess Setsuna was her best friend ps Haruki got my respect because he tried his best to avoid seeing them naked lol. Mini angry rant T_T. + Show Spoiler +I don't know if she knows he likes her, I think she's just trying to "fake it till she makes it" type of deal, like "she's your gf you should focus on her not anyone else" she said that repeatedly. I mean if she knew she would have fucking done something in the previous episode... but she didn't and neither did he.. :@!. So I think she's just being a bit crass to deal with this relationship.. but you could be right. I just think if she KNEW she would have done something about it. He's dating Setsuna because he's too much of a pussy to reject her, simple as that <.<. Fucking Haruki, god. I really doubt they will bring in new characters just to make Haruki jealous, I mean his friends did mention that the people at school started to see Touma differently after the performance but I really doubt it. We barely get any screen time with those 3, I doubt anyone could come at this point and pose a threat or would be used just to provoke jealousy in Haruki. I think things will escalate somehow and we'll see finally Haruki STOP being SUCH A GIANT PUSSY! and be like I really don't like you Setsuna, sorry about that I like Touma deal with it!. But you know in pussy language. Things will have to get REALLY REALLY bad for him to confess to Touma I can already see it, her leaving after the recital to be with her mom, her getting a bf (I REALLY DOUBT THIS, EXTREMELY SO), I think it's more likely that she can't resist any more and wants to confess to him but she doesn't want to be a cunt to Setsuna and decides to leave instead than her getting a bf lol at which point Haruki will man up and do what needs to be done to keep her from leaving. I can only imagine his reaction if he sees her flirting with some other guy, if he had that little freak out when she mentioned the possibility of another man in her life lol. I think she's too into Haruki to really pay attention to anyone else but she might give it a shot since she's busy pretending to be mature about it. I doubt they are anything, you can SO tell they are pretending, Setsuna with that look to Haruki when he over reacted, Touma's constant crass behavior towards Haruki, Haruki putting on a show for Setsuna while he's still fixated on Touma. Like I said everyone is busy pretending to be okay with the current situation, obviously no one is happy here, like Haruki said before he took a good look at Touma , everyone is trying hard to convince themselves the dreamlike state they had during the festival is still going on. OF ALL the outcomes the previous episode could have this had to be the worst, SO infuriating that they made Haruki into such a pussy, ugh. Though it's just better drama since lies usually just end up hurting people more than honesty and common sense so let's make everyone lie for a while and then let it explode when the truth comes out . Now I actually feel bad for that stupid Setsuna, I mean it's quite painful to see her get stuck in the middle of these two though it was her own fault, I still feel bad for her. She's kind of nice I suppose but she's no match for Touma at least as far as Haruki is concerned. As you can tell I'm not particularly pleased with this episode, it was important but only to show how irrelevant Setsuna is, I mean sure Touma and Haruki care about her otherwise they would be humping each other BUT it's all fake, they want to be nice to her but I'm sure this will reach a boiling point and she's gonna get majorly screwed. I could really go on and on but I feel like I would repeat myself A LOT. It's just WHYYYYYYYYYY!? Haruki WHY!? Just because somebody kisses you doesn't mean you're married!!. The worst thing is that we have NEVER NOT ONCE, heard a single word from fucking HARUKI! about this mess, he never said Oh yes I like you Setsuna, or No I don't like you Setsuna I like Touma. NO NOT A THING NADA! Instead he just more or less got assimilated by Setsuna lol and started going out with her because she kissed him this is so fucking stupid. I hate these people T_T. It's almost as if Setsuna knows Haruki is TOO nice to just leave her if she got him to go out with her which is kind of evil lol, but honestly at this point this makes more sense than anything else that's going on. will read it and comment back when I can.
Man, little busters and it's changes. How can several episodes completely change the whole anime? :O Not talking in a bad way but God, I was not expecting any of what I am watching right now...
Edit: Caught up to latest episode of Little Busters: Refrain. I'm a bit confused though and hoping someone who's also watching the anime or understands it a bit better can explain. Although, if my question can only be explained due to VN spoilers then I'd rather wait till the anime reveals the answer: + Show Spoiler +Overall I enjoyed LB so far. The first season was great. Reminds me of Clannad I guess due to the introduction of characters and their backgrounds. Him having nacrolepsy made it interesting but always made me wonder if he's ever going to pass out and hit his head on something >< His dreams were interesting and I liked how different the characters were. Their background stories felt really rich and made it that much better. The ending of the first season and start of the second was also well done. I was also really overjoyed that Riki and Rin got together and I could see Kyousuke's plan and how he's trying to make Rin a stronger person that is independent. I feel that the whole purpose was to also strength Riki since he's been with Rin for a long time and we saw how he reacted without her. I'll write more later on this.
Question: + Show Spoiler +Episode 6, we see him and Rin run off since Rin was going to have to go back to the other school then they get caught by the police. Episode 7 starts on May 11 which is before the baseball team was formed but Kyousuke isn't there and instead he's in his room depressed and stuff and everything is totally different. Either way, from what I understand, it's like it's an alternative world or that something happened to make everything change. Riki is trying to become stronger to be like Kyousuke and is looking to get the team back. Problem is, I'm still confused as to what is actually happening. I read somewhere it's a time loop and it would fit with the whole secret of the world, maybe since Riki is pissed at Kyousuke, the thought manifested itself or something. I dunno. Either way, if there's any way to answer this WITHOUT spoiling from the VN, I would be very grateful for a reply otherwise I'll pass lol

Any other anime similar : fighting, crazy, funny? Ben-to Please. Stop. That anime was so bad. >.> Also someone was talking about something close to real life: Hourou Musuko is my favorite slice of life/drama anime. I know there's a lot of dissenting opinions, especially since people think the manga was better, but I'm of the opinion that an anime (or any adaptation) can and should be able to stand on its own as separate from the source. The show had its fair share of problems but they're more or less very irrelevant as to how beautifully the show touched on issues of transexuality and puberty with great amount of sensitivity and understanding. A friend of mine who has struggled with the same issues teared up at the first episode after + Show Spoiler +Nitori goes into the boys bathroom and comes out dressed a girl because of how close that was to his own life. I just think it's really good, and superior to all the anime you guys have been gushing about over the last few...iono weeks now? Presentation (the watercolor-esque look the anime), sound, and characters (though Saori acted like she was 25 wtf lol still best girl) were all great. It's an insta-req for me and it's probably the most out of place of my top 5 anime, but it's there because I loved it. Eca, no, please, don't hurt me.
Hourou musuko is an absolute work of art
Anyone who isn't involved with the TG community probably just thinks it's a nice anime, but people really underestimate just how important and moving it is to TG people I've showed it to TG friends and they all start crying. There is no anime which is quite so realistic that i've seen in my life
If anything, the only thing one could say is that the children in the manga/anime are almost too mature for their age

On November 24 2013 01:34 Slaughter wrote:The "for what it is" comment that I made seemed to spark some discussion IS "for what it is" is simply this. IS isn't a typical anime that draws you in with a plot that makes you continue watching because you just have to know what happens next. You won't feel emotionally moved from this plot in either direction (except maybe frustration because of the male lead). "What it is" is a spectacle that delivers cute girls being cue in a sci fi setting that occasionally has mecha-like battles that are also somewhat enjoyable. It also delivers cheap harem drama. In short its just a shallow anime that once you peel off the outer layer there is absolutely nothing underneath. But its enjoyable and fun to watch nonetheless. Edit: Don't Lose Your Way from Kill la Kill is too good.
The problem is that it's a generic statement that could be applied to anything. The phrase, "it's good/enjoyable/likeable for what it is" doesn't actually add meaning - something can't be enjoyed or liked for what it's not (to the beholder). Why not skip the phrase entirely and move directly into the expanded analysis that you provided? Others will have a hard timing figuring out what something is to you unless you tell them.
If I said "Angel Beats is good for what it is", how many people would actually understand what I meant? Probably nobody, because I haven't explained "what it is". If I were to explain what it is, then the phrase itself would be completely filler. It's most often used as filler when people are afraid (for some reason) to defend a show they enjoyed, but you shouldn't be afraid to do that (it's much more meaningful than just saying "X is good" and nothing else).
Anyway...
A friend of mine keeps asking me, weekly, if I'd seen the latest episode of Machine Doll. I've come to the conclusion that he's a lolicon pervert, although when I asked, he said he just liked the ED. Seems legit. Are the LNs worth reading? The manga seemed fun enough.

Is the Shingeki no Kyojin's OVA worth watching? Do they've anything to do with the story?

I really hate my autocorrect on my Adroid (French being the chosen autocorrect language). I'm reading some of my old posts, and I'm having a hard time figuring out what I wanted to type -_-

I dunno. Either way, if there's any way to answer this WITHOUT spoiling from the VN, I would be very grateful for a reply otherwise I'll pass lol Just wait for them to reveal things. No way to answer the question without spoiling things.

Hourou musuko is an absolute work of art Anyone who isn't involved with the TG community probably just thinks it's a nice anime, but people really underestimate just how important and moving it is to TG people I've showed it to TG friends and they all start crying. There is no anime which is quite so realistic that i've seen in my life If anything, the only thing one could say is that the children in the manga/anime are almost too mature for their age
I feel like that problem is kind of exclusive mostly to Saori...but maybe my memory of the anime is a bit faulty. She does acts way over her age (she acts like she's 25 lol), but I found that a very minor issue since I loved her so much regardless. *.*

Any Lupin the third fans around? I was wondering if you guys could tell me which are the good movies/Ovas of this series. I watched a few of the movies and they are wildly different in quality, Cagliostro was pretty good and I liked it but the one about the archeologist and the one with conan were pretty terrible, felt like I was watching hentai quality animation. Princess of the Breeze was nice as well but was basically Cagliostro with another princess, are there any other Cagliostro quality movies/ovas around?

Maybe not impressive eca, but Henderson is still ulcer-inducing.

What does Machine doll have to do with loli?

His favorite characters are Komurasaki and Yaya. I'd say they count.
