so many animes are out today! Exciting! XD Although WA2 still isn't though >.> Glad to see that IS2 cut it down on the harem stuff despite being a harem anime. Infact, I think that was one of the tamest episodes I've seen so far rofl. Figured it'll get reduced and won't compare to episode 5 and I was right XD

I mean, Imagine if Menma didn't do all that stuff or Jintan didn't react the way he did and instead it was all serious then I think he would lose a lot of readers because it's too serious. That Menma gathered them to make Jintan cry because she promised his mom then she ran after him after he left and slipped falling into the river and drowning. To them, this is so serious yet Menma was happy most times(Cried couple). It was in stark contract to the idea that she should be completely sad since she died. Her mother breaking down when they talked about the fireworks was so moving. 10 years and she still remembers. Time was frozen to her, must've been rough :'( It must also been rough for her son and husband seeing as the family wasn't as close and such after that.
I guess my point is, I loved the show, was happy that they all got a chance to confess and also to tell Menma how much they loved her especially Jintan who I feel should've been the first to tell her that he loves her, marriage type of love. I thought the ending was spot on and nice to see everyone back together and trying to improve themselves. Still a bit sad that now that she is gone since even if she is reincarnated, the age difference between them would be huge so even if they find each other somehow(she remember names if reincarnated), it won't be the same anymore. I feel that just saying that she wants to rest in peace and how much she loved them then leaving it at that might've been as good or better of an ending. Anyone else thought the same?. I mean, she got kinda jealous and depressed because he spent time at Touma's place without telling her. She obviously has feelings for him and I think she developed them since the first episode. Touma is starting to develop them as well although she's still a bit in her own world. While yes there's been some moments in the show that show they like each other, I don't think we're in the realm of people like kissing/being overly affectionate towards each other yet. She'll probably go to the hospital but both Setsuna and Haruki will be there, just like they did after her freak out with the teacher in the music room, Haruki wants everyone to feel part of the group and that they're a "unit" not him and Touma and Setsuna on the outside that's what caused toothbrush-gate lol. While yes it is very obvious that Setsuna likes Haruki (Also Touma I mean she worked so hard for his "dream", no one would do that unless they liked someone A LOT), Setsuna worked so hard to recruit Touma for the band because Haruki wanted her there not because she had any particular attachment to the piano playing person she didn't know lol. She got jealous I'll say 90% because of her past history with her friends and what happened there, she didn't want to feel left out of the new group she found, I think if she was perceiving that Touma was stealing Haruki romantically she would have pulled out the claws not just be all emo about it. It's obvious they both like Haruki and Haruki likes Touma because she's so cool and talented (not that Touma thinks she is lol), that part by the train when Touma pulls him off the train was like :O! WTF is it about? What is in it? What is the "dream"? Why did Lizuka gave it to Touma except for the fact that it seems she's totally into him and she's musically talented? Which is the one thing that makes me think it's musically related. While she may not have any family none that we see (though in the first episode you can see her mom went to cheer for her at the concert), Haruki doesn't have any family to speak of either, her mom seems to be MIA from episode 1, all we know is that she exists because she left that note about dinner. But I don't think Haruki is that forward to be honest, I doubt he'll see her being in the hospital as an "opportunity" to do anything but take care of her which I doubt she'll do without Setsuna 99% of the time. But I could be wrong so we'll see next week. For now I think Setsuna will make an effort to get closer to Touma and finally get her to call her by her first name , we'll see how that works out for her. I really do think she's making an effort to get close to Touma while obviously liking Haruki. Also there's one thing I wanted to ask, you remember when Setsuna and Touma were together in the music room in episode 4 when Setsuna asks her when they will be able to practice together and Touma says the weekend, Setsuna has this odd look for a second after Touma said that.. Am I looking too into it or do you think that look means anything?. They do sort of hint at Setsuna being overly fake sometimes, and there she had that odd look and then replied with a happy looking face suddenly. I don't think Haruki ever implied anything as lovers or otherwise with that, just that he'll stick around in her life no matter what unless she doesn't want him to be there any more, which is nice but again if Setsuna doesn't want him he's free to go :o. I don't think we'll see anything ROMANTIC like kisses or any advancements until after the concert, I think that's how they are handling things, once they open that can of worms is gonna get ugly so I think they are taking their time with that. This theory is helped by the fact that Haruki was saying how that was the last time they were all together and happy, so I think of it as you know no one was doing anything behind anyone's back and no one was declaring love for anyone we were just happy friends lol. + Show Spoiler [white album 2] +good question, not sure XD I just saw 2007 on the front of the book. ya, of course, we don't see her but we know she's there in person at least. I mean, with Touma, she's not there at all. She's in Paris the last three years so ya, imo, no comparison but I get your point. I don't think they are hidden necessarily but there are so many other stuff going on that you don't pay attention to the "lesser" stuff or characters. I'm pretty positive that we're in 2007, the clock says as much in fact I just watched the first few secs of episode 5 because I know they show that clock again it says 2007/11/18 Sun 15:12, so the notebook is from a month ago, maybe he just didn't identify it because he didn't see "October 2007" written on it. I don't think Touma will be in the hospital long enough or at all maybe for anything serious to happen, anyone to feel like OMG I CAN'T LEAVE THOSE 2 ALONE WTF /STAYS!. They finally got the "band" together, really together in episode 5 with that whole skipping class because Touma had a freak out moment, I think it will stay that way until after the performance, maybe they'll have a moment but Touma is in full denial mode about Haruki and Haruki know's she's a bit mean... so we'll have to wait for her to open up a little I think. Too many feelings D:, I was cheering for that show's Minori the entire time haha, it seems nice that at the end they seem to connect at school, though who knows how that's gonna go after the way things ended with Menma. + Show Spoiler + I think that's what made everyone love Menma so much, that she was such a happy little girl who cheered up everyone when they were down and made them even happier when they were in a good mood. Well I'm sure losing your kid is a scarring experience, one so cheerful and good specially I mean you can tell she brought joy into that house.
I don't think any type of reincarnation would have been good for the show or even a little realistic, though I guess that ship sailed when a ghost came back to visit her friends 10 years later <.<. BUT STILL, it would have been odd. I was 100% happy with that ending, it was just a beautiful thing coming to an ending that was perfect. That's why I love rewatching that show, it just feels like such a wonderful story and it ends in such a way that I'm left satisfied after I finish. I love Menma's character so much so I was never in a position to dislike her like I do Taiga haha, I mean who wouldn't love a girl like that? I felt bad the redhead was kind of left out and didn't have Jintan's attention but that's how shit was with Menma around, same for the other girl. Everyone was just drawn to Menma because of the way she was. I really look forward to that movie they made, want to watch it already, seems to have quite a bit of new footage so I would like to see if any new relationships flourished during that time if it's been long enough since Menma disappeared. + Show Spoiler [white album 2] +ya, I plan to watch the first part again to see what I missed. In Anohana, it can't be continued Menma is gone! That's it! It's over! They will only be able to cherish the memories. It helped them to face their guilt and move on and they all at least got to speak to Menma and tell her how much they loved her but SHE'S GONE FOR GOOD! I was reading some of the stuff you were yapping about and I'm like who the fuck is Lucia or whatever name I don't remember any more. I'm addicted to one and you're addicted to all of them :O!. + Show Spoiler [AnoHana] +Toradora got me a couple of times as I mentioned before, I don't mind, the moments when that happened were really deserving haha. Yeah the whole story of AnoHana is like PREPARE TO CRY LIKE A BABY BECAUSE YOU WILL!. A little girl drowned at such a young age and all her friends were destroyed by the accident as so were their friendship, every character that was touched by the tragedy had deep scars so when you saw how they reacted to the mention of Menma it was pretty heart breaking. Specially her mom and just her whole family. The whole character of Menma has that effect, it will make you cry to see how pure and good she was, I don't think anyone could do anything but love her deeply and lament her death so so much. If she was "flawed" I don't think it would have the same effect, she was really something and it was interesting to see how she contrasted with her friends, they all had these thoughts of jealousy, envy and even hatred towards her or each other but she was just happy and always tried to make everyone happy. I'm happy with the ending, was one of the best endings I've ever watched rivaled by maybe Code Geass and Gurren Lagann (this is based on how satisfied I was with it not anything else). I mean her coming back brought them all together again which is wonderful and something she's probably extremely happy to do. Can't think of a better effect from her "visit", yeah sure everyone confessed how they all loved her etc which was lovely and obviously made me cry but the ending just leaves everyone satisfied despite their best friend being dead. Can't get better than that. Will definitely watch it again at some point haha . I feel bad she won't be in their lives but I don't mind that, she touched their lives in incredibly positive ways before and after her death so now they can move on knowing she was happy when she left. I'm not sure when the movie comes out to be honest, I think it came out a while back but I haven't seen any subs for it T_T so I'll wait eagerly . I want to see how everyone moved on after the show ended. I feel a bit sad saying "moved on" but I think that was the whole point of her visit, so you know it's okay if they did even if Nanaru and Jintan became a thing. You still owe me a Toradora rant so GET TO IT! /whip. :O! I SAW YOUR NEW SIG OMG WHAT? COMPARING TAIGA TO MENMA? I just don't have the time to rewatch a lot of episodes again otherwise I would've lol. ah I see, thought it was something else with the toothbrush. Being meticulous is good lol. hmm not sure eihter. She did the train pull though so it's her fault lol. yes, exactly but why would that be a 'dream'? It just seems weird to me tbh. I'm not sure what to think of it. Maybe we'll find something in the newest episode
+ Show Spoiler [Anohana] +ya, definitely. Toradora almost got me I feel like Anohana could've done a better job. At the beginning, it was ok but then I felt the comedy overpowered the main message of the story. I mean, comedy was needed but still, the issue is supposed to be serious and well, I feel that part fell short. hmm yes pure and good but it felt more comedic at times and took away from the main message. I still loved her character though which is why she's in my sig lol. She was not the same as her friends. She was too pure when compared to them. They were plotting behind her back and such even when they were kids lol. ya, I'm ok with the ending now. Wished there was more of the anime though which is why it disapponted me at first. ya, true true. Thought the same after finishing it and more so now as well. I will watch again in the distant future Everyone did seem to finally move on after that, so I think it was good. Can't wait to see the movie either. Maybe Jintin hooked up with anaru? lol.
