Actually Ayase got shafted the most, vol gets cut AND the flashback before confession gets cut. Typical Hayamin life.
SIGH. Typical Hayamin, why do I always hope. Does this mean they really threw in random stalker and did nothing with it? rofl. Oh well, Hayamin from Monogatari was a nice length.

Kuroneko getting shot down is rageworthy, but Ayase less so for me, probably because they spent so much time on the former this season and very little on the latter.
I liked Kuroneko and Ayase more than Kirino and would have been amused if they had worked out a menage a trois of some sort but... The anime/LN is about imoutos so I never held much hope for that.
Still I didn't hate Kirino the way some people did because I thought her cute moments made up for her bitchiness.
Yh I feel sorry for those girls to, but after all it's just fiction. I myself never really got all the Kirino hate that's going on. But the ending still bothers me a little, they decide to continue as normal siblings and then still flirt. I mean it's still quite open. But for me a closed but totally perverted ending would have been more satisfying.
Probably why it was left open. You can interpret that last scene to mean whatever you want.
It was as much as the guy can do and still have it be published by dengeki, it was just still a copout in the grand scheme of things. The desire to keep it a happy end really shafted the thing as a whole.

Thats why it ended like that imo. Whatever ending you want is conceivable with that last scene. Incest ending? Possible. They ended things then he goes on to date other women? Possible. Hell you could even leave room for him to eventually fall in love with one of the other girls (whatever one you favor) at this point. Or if you want a more tragic ending they both stay single or have terrible relationships as their life goes on because of the feelings they have for each other. Pick your interpretation.

Notice how tragic end is already out of question because they gave zero fucks flirting in public. It was meant to be a happy end, and that's why the epilogue was there. Which is why it was a shit end, because author has to go out of his way to insert something after the mock wedding scene, but can't do anything more explicit than what he has already. So you get an inconclusive wishy-washy end that clearly favors someone. Except you can't actually say that, because it was left hanging.
The ending of the series was probably meant to be somewhat open, but because the author want to limit it to only happy interpretations we get that huge mess. People who want to see happy end from after that mock wedding would have done so regardless of there being the epilogue or not. That final bit was a total waste of time and only serves to make the author feel happy about himself for making it a happy end.
Man I am just reminded of how annoyed reading that vol was when there was no Ayase parts to be read, this sucks.
That is true I suppose. I guess the author felt that ending it there would not leave any wiggle room for the incest ending (and I think he either wanted it or wanted to leave the door open). So he added in that last scene just to hammer it into everyone that its still possible (doesn't mean it is the definitive conclusion).
Its not really a happy ending anyway, as basically everyone but the main couple got it pretty rough the last few episodes. Plus the tragic ending for the main couple isn't something that comes right now as its either a constant struggle to be together or some other mess down the line (like the whole marriage thing that they kept mentioning over and over again). So yea it very well could be that he forced this "happy" ending with them ending up together but all the talk leading up to it about the hardship and difficulties and it "not being possible" very well could mean that its a happy but inevitably the most tragic ending in the long run.
It is happy for the pairing in question and no one else, which is how it works when you only have one guy to go around. I am not sure how much more happy do you expect things to get. Future difficulties? That's only a thing you think about when you are not willing to show an end with the two flirting in public. Even Yosuga's ending shows more potential difficulty than this.
Oh and in an interview author basically says it flat out, he just wanted something that he can publish that provides the best end to the ship that's sailing.
EDIT - nvm, though bait and switch...urgggg I hate English lol.
I have just witnessed the masterpiece that is Samurai X:Trust and Betrayal, good god that was amazing. I haven't even seen the TV series and it had such an impact on me. The live action movie pales in comparison.
I wish there was more good samurai anime like this, no superpowers, vampires, or aliens. Now I feel like nothing will live up the greatness of this OVA :[
A little crack isn't going to blow your spacecraft into magical bits. Otherwise, the ISS would be screwed every time they got hit by a micrometeorite. It takes a pretty big hole to almost instantaneously vent the atmosphere in a ship.
You can pretty much explain the explosions as a way to make fights flashier. Stylistic choice.

Funnily enough I wish this is the case for most shows. Elevens always do that randomly even with harem shows just because they can and I guess because it sells, but I would really prefer more realistic settings

Well yea I guess + plus weapons can be stronger than armor (just as most military weapons can probably go through kevlar)
I do enjoy Strar Trek (the two reent movies) space battles. They last longer + visually interesting
EDIT : Most of the mangas I'm following are ongoing (like 1 chapter every month...) After reading the latest chapter from Aku no Hana, I just remembered that I enjoyed the serie alot. Anything similar? (dark-ish, perverted minds [not just sexually ; but in the case of Aku no Hana, it seems like some crazy thoughts would fit it best], people doing dumb stuff and having to repent, if that is even possible, in order to grow into adults)

I really don't know whats up with Commander Erwin, how did he know that there will be an abnormal Titan hunting Eren so he could prepare the whole trap thing? I think that there are traitors and that is why the whole thing was top secret but it doesn't explain the whole hunt. Also it think the female titan looks kinda like Annie? Could it be Annie it wouldn't make much sense but i always think it is her when i see the titan.
I don't know if this was posted yet, but this is one of the funniest things I have seen for Attack on Titan to date. The a welcome departure from some of the bitching about budget that some people have been doing.
