The whole subjective truth stuff the AI's hinted at was cool, but then portraying one as 'right' and one as 'wrong' felt super shounen and dumb in the context. Really rubbed me the wrong way - where was the balance in perspective that I normally get and like about Urobuchi writing? Actual events had that geass vibe, except I didn't buy into the characters at all, and don't think it fit with the story that well. I'm fine with crazy unrealistic shit if it's consistent, but Amy flew the same distance as Melty, then did something 10x harder with excited energy, while Melty fucking passed out after 3 whispered words, exhausted. The fuck? Probably only bothered me because I didn't like the entire story sequence, but Chamber's suicide made no fucking sense. He accepted Ledo's life-gamble when they were losing, then hit a 'life critical' point where they repeat the conversation, only saving Ledo because he responded emotionally? The fuck kind of writing was that? Suddenly the AI that reflects the pilot's perspective is meant to be a father figure? Ok then. Liked the closing scene though, and the show was still decent. I probably wouldn't have had any issues with it if the core story had fit my expectations, so whatever. I'm just mad Urobuchi did something generic, especially after the whole humans = aliens stuff which was much less so. | ||

Hmm frankly I doubt people liked that more for the incest than for the tsundere. Besides, if people aren't actually fucking their sisters, do you really care if they like to read about incest? + Show Spoiler + Meh Gargantia was ok. It had some good moments, but it has lots of problems. The main focus was pretty much the character development. Because of that the plot was lacking quite a lot. No, I should say it was neglected. The ending was rushed and felt forced just to kind of create some "final boss" scenario Plus, the beginning was slow and boring. OreImo S2 End + Show Spoiler + Looks like we got an open ending. It's not like it was unexpected, but still can't help but sigh at it. Is that also how the LN ends? | ||

How did yoto end up losing memory of when he meet up with Tsukiko (main girl) in her mask at the park and Emi since this was when he was already an much older? Or was this explain in a different arc in the manga? | ||

I don't see why everyone is hating. I saw it as a show focused on light and fluffy instead of heavy and dark. Things took a pretty quick turn for sure, and Urobuchi's style was only touched upon. Suddenly we get brainwashing, a type of ai manipulating the masses, dystopia.... Psycho pass anyone? I liked the happy atmosphere and general upbeat tone of Gargantia. | ||

From what I read about that wish, it's continuous, so everytime he has any memories, it goes to Tsukushi (which is why Tsukushi wants to marry Tsukiko) or someone else that wants it I think (which explains why Azusa dreamt she kissed Yokodera). This would also explain how he doesn't remember Emi, or basically anyone he met in the past. In the end, it's all a giant clusterfuck of why something happened. Also for Gargantia, I'm glad it wasn't Urobutcher end... | ||

About henneko, best not to think about that wish, I don't think the author has any clue what he did with that. It is just a giant clusterfuck that kind of answers everything, except not really. I'll try to work up some motivation to read parts of the books instead of slamming it close every time I see Azuki Azusa. Oh also a bunch of things are written in weird orders, the whole thing about the cat mask Tsukiko came as a part of some vol 0 deal that was a part of some magazine publication before vol 3 that got included in vol 4's short story collection vol or something. idk it is a mess -.- | ||
