i remember when a.f.k. was releasing them, some episodes were like a fucking month late. they were worth it in the end though. that series is like the gauntlet for fansubbers... probably one of the highest drop rates out there, not that many pick it up in the first place Lucky Star is harder imo, if I am a translator and have to pick between SZS and Lucky Star I'd take the former in an instant, it is that much easier. if i were your typesetter, i'd stab you Hey they did both :p Can't argue though, Lucky Star is a typesetting nightmare. they dropped zoku mid-season... though apparently its because their translator held the translations hostage when he wanted to prioritize clannad over ZSZS... either way they never finished it up, and left it to poor anon and volans no, strato disappeared, he didnt hold the translations hostage. he popped up out of nowhere to do haruhi 2. a.f.k. is basically strato by himself, he is translator, encoder, typesetter, timer, and editor. he deserves a lot of credit for what he does but he's awfully old fashioned.
ahhh huh i wonder where that clannad rumor came from...

happens all the time in fansubbing, people assume the fansub groups are delaying stuff on purpose instead of just not having it done or w/e. fansubbing really sucks and the only reason to even bother to be involved with the community is the drama.

man... picking up lucky star and SZS... strato is a beast... btw do you have any info on who volans is? they randomly showed up to finish off ZSZS after afk dropped it and anon patched for 2 eps. volans was really good too.

btw, Shaft definitely has their own style but cuz i was such a fan of negima -_- to see the anime fail not once but twice.. it made me hate shaft that much more. I hope the new one that follows the manga wont be an epic fail.

I wish they'd make REC a full anime...it's one of my favorites. ):
The manga is pretty meh, though...it has no real story and after the second volume, the recycled love drama gets old. I wish they'd focus more on the seiyu industry, which is how it started.
That, and the scanlators are fucking lazy and update like once every three months. -____-;;

Sure the engrish is terrible and the colours look pretty washed out, but I still watched it cause I didn't have any other indie band anime at the time.

Myanimelist is great. Even better is using MAL updater with MyAnimeList, which is a super useful program if you watch anime.
Features of MAL updater+ Show Spoiler + * Start watching some Anime in one of the supported players, and MalU will detect which Anime and episode it is, and update your MAL list automatically with the last episode you have watched.
That's right: malu will check your video players and identify the Anime and episode.
* See how many people are watching the same Anime at the same time, and open a chat window with them
* Manually sort and update your list from MalU (episode watched, score, status, etc)
* Tell MalU to search in your hard disk for the next episode of the Anime you are currently watching, or from any in your list, and launch it in your default player.
You can even use a HotKey and hook a mouse button for this. There is also an option so that malu automatically launches the next episode when you close the player
* Have it automatically check TokyoTosho
for torrents of new episodes for the Anime in your list, have it download and launch the .torrents automatically according to some filters,
and even tell uTorrent to store each file in its own Anime folder, if you have set it for every show. You can even have it automatically discard either MKV or AVI when both versions are present.
* Check your hard disk to see which Anime have new episodes available, and how many
* Show in MSN and mIRC what you are watching, including your score, ep/eptotal and a URL to information of the Anime.
You don't need to install any extra plugins or scripts in msn or mirc for this.
* Show in mIRC what you are listening to in either winamp or Last.fm. No extra plugins/scripts either for this
* You can make your own php forum signature which shows what you are currently watching, your last updates etc..
* Batch rename your Anime files to some criteria like Fansub - Anime Name - Episode

It has full 64-bit support and detects more than 4GB of ram
* Easily move and rename entire folders of Anime with a batch tool.

Maria+Holic, LoooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooL Trap warning I dropped that on episode 6 it was just 50nosebleeds everyepisode over and over again. Got kinda boring.
I recommend watching Hajime no Ippo, great anime lots of episodes =) also watch the sequel thats airing now but only after watching the first season.

Spice & Wolf if you haven't seen that already its really good, plus season 2 is coming in a month.

What kind of shows do you like?
For me, I'm walking Eden of the East, K-ON!, FMA (if I get bored, I'm a manga follower so this kind of bores me a lot), Haruhi S2.
But Code Geass is definitely a must-watch. GO ON A MARATHON IF YOU HAVE TO. COMPLETE IT ASAP.

Ep 17 of the first season and I still find it boring and that Lelouch is totally gay. It needs to have some good characters that i'm actually interested in. =[

Well everyone tells me it's epic, but so far the first 17 episodes have been pretty... hmmm nothing really epic or emotional yet.
C.C. meh, she's mildly interesting. She doesn't have that much of a personality yet so it's hard to really give a damn. Ah well i'll binge watch it later in the hopes that something good happens to make me give a damn what is going on in that world of theirs.
