Finally got into watching Higurashi no Naku Koro ni, once I'm 20/24 episodes in I accidently realise that I had in fact downloaded and watched season 2 and totally missed entire season 1.
Never go full retard. I did the exact same thing. I think that's alright though, it's pretty standalone :D its okay, you guys only missed all the good yangire parts

So is this why so many people like Higurashi? Because of the "gore scenes"? What is wrong with you people?

Has anyone seen the Aria series? I was somewhat skeptical about finishing it after watching a few episodes, but was glad I decided otherwise. Might have been something to do with my mindset prior to watching the series, but some episodes really did a lot for me (kinda reminded me of Natsume Yuujinchou in a way).

I keep hearing people saying they watched Aria during the right "mindset" or something. I tried watching 2 eps, still didnt hook me in. Its been on my "to watch" list for so long, I feel like I just need some sort of boost to finish it.

Plus the whole scene where Eren was injected by something from his father may had something to do with it

It just means that Eren was more semi aware of himself and could control himself. This also means that the Titan's "weak point" is just killing the human that's inside. This probably also explains the random moe Titans, maybe they were little kids that were eaten.

It's awesome to watch if you're sad or something because even if its a show about basically riverboats I just had a constant :3 on my face. The 2nd one wasn't as high up for me because I thought 2cour was somewhat too long but the payoff for 3rd season is worth it.

I think a lot of it has to do with the main character (and sometimes her friends) and being able to share in her outlook on life, and maybe some of the things she has come to realize throughout the series. Overly cheerful people that are seemingly absent-minded (some introspection comes a long way) tend to be a major turn-off for me, but I feel it worked here. Throughout the anime, you learn that the main character is genuinely in love with the city/world/setting that she lives in and is content about where her life stands (comfortably with close friends and people that she looks up to). She knows this even though she is very aware that her life will change when she will inevitably grow up and take on more responsibilities.
A lot of the enjoyment I got kind of stems from what she says through thought or from speaking to her friend through letters. Not much actually does happen and some episodes may irk some viewers (the ones dealing with spirits, etc), but the build up on each episode is usually done well - although some can be obvious and annoying when they push the general theme onto you.
That said, I feel the anime is extremely hit or miss (a lot more missing than hitting) and you should know if you want to complete the rest of the series by the end of the first season.

I expect thoroughly descriptive explanation next ep on how this whole Eren/Titan thing works. If not, Ill be sorely disappointed. + Show Spoiler [Manga spoilers] +I knew that Reiner was the armored titan trying to reason that the Eren titan was doing good, so I wonder what their agenda, as titans, really are. The blonde chick(also a titan) and Bertholt(the colossal titan) were standing idly by too during all this. Theres a lot to be answered, and I hope it wont disappoint me.
Edit: Also thanks for the Aria replies, Ill try to watch it every time I go to sleep. Seems like it could be a real good watch if I persevere through it. Also sounds like Id have to watch the entire seasons of the series. Sounds pretty intimidating, but I think Ill manage.

Edit: Btw, we've talked some pages ago about anime which make us manly men cry, but what about anime which make you guys laugh? For me Cromartie High School was the funniest I've seen as far as anime is concerned.

Did SnK blew all their budget on episode 7? Last episode had bad animantion and way too much still scenes haha.
Not that I mind it too much because SnK is still great. Seriously how could they've killed that Moe Titan

If you have to persevere through it and find it intimidating to have to watch all episodes you most likely shouldn't watch it. After watching a few episodes you should know what to expect and if you're watching just because you've heard that the ending is incredible you should definitely not watch it. It's just a proper ending that concludes the series very well but it won't blow your mind or anything.
Very nice series to watch before going to sleep though!

Comedy isn't a genre I usually explore voluntarily, but Nodame Cantabile is probably the anime that has brought out the most laughs from me, mainly because it manages to go from serious to funny in a splitsecond.
Oh, and Trapeze is hilarious and trippy as hell too.

I haven't watched that many anime series (probably around 10), but FMP Fumoffu made me laugh out loud involuntarily a few times every episode.
