any recommandations for a "good" story?
School Days.
Please, do not watch School days. If you want "good" story as you put it, you need to be more specific about what you like watching/reading, so people can give better suggestions.
Nothing wrong with School Days if you want good story.
Man up.
It's more realistic than most stories anyway
But serious recommendation: Hachimitsu to Clover
even I who watched the whole hell girl series in a marathon fashion( still regreting the fact that season2 and 3 exist) almost fell apart at around episode 10 in that series o_o...god ... the boredom! if you want a movie : The Girl Who Leapt Through Time and an old one could be Rumbling Hearts or Kanon or you can even try Ef A tale of memories/melodies
You must be the first person I know who thought H&C was boring O.o That's a new one.
If you want old one, Kimagure Orange Road and Maison Ikkoku are the way to go. Even Hana Yori Dango.
I can see why he wouldnt like it, but if you can sit through 3 seasons of jigoku shoujo you already have a bigger problem than not liking H&C ...

Rumbling Hearts is good.
And Jigoku Shoujo isn't bad either, though I understand that one would get bored of it eventually.

Wtf? Jigoku Shoujo s2 > s3 > s1 and they're all great. you're crazy. And HnC is ridiculously good too.

i did have a feeling that around 2/3rd of second season they actually didn't have any more real stories to tell, they started doing the ones that would eventually annoy the fuck out of me like the one where the teacher "writes" about bad students in his little notebook and people go insane over it, or when ( i don't remember the correct place of this event, s2 or 3 maybe?) an entire town abuses that power and everybody is murdering each other with strings and dolls o_o...
the funny one was that with the doll episode where that girl was asked to act like a doll, everything was fine after she sent to hell somebody, then that guy still told her she dosn't have to do anything...
the painting, the aunt, the last bit where he said "i'l be waiting for you". The ending where nothing happens, they kinda just leave it at an optimistic tone without any resolution
Been a while since I watched that so I dont really remember what happens at the end (actually seen it 2 times go figure)
But Im pretty sure the story was pretty logical and had a coherent ending. What's so wrong about leaving a few things unexplained and leaving it up to interpretation?
I didnt actually watch s2 and s3 may catch up on them soon. And i just go back and finish Ghost Hunt, thanks to the newly released manga of it reminded me.

I believe thats kind of the point to these anime. Everything is supposed to be left with optimism in the hopes they lead a happy life.
aite. Then again, I could be saying this cuz of how good Ep. 5 was. Beginning made me wanna go get some KBBQ now though. Also I could of sworn he worked at McRognald, and now its McRonald? Am I on crack?
Finished Tonari no Kaibutsu-kun yesterday.. man, for a show that had so much potential, it flubbed the ending pretty damn hard. Not saying that the show got bad near the end, but they started introducing all these characters and relationships that never went anywhere in the few episodes left. I feel like it needs another 13 episodes or so to flesh things out. Even if there is a second season planned, you can't just end things like that if you're not pre-scheduled for 26 episodes to begin with... Maybe the source material had something to do with it?

They didn't adapt all of the the source material. So if you want a conclusion, you'd have to read the manga, which will be concluding soon too.
