I don't want to watch the show just because it's "creative" mixing little girls with psychological. I appreciate the suggestion, though. ^_^ Also, wasn't sure if you were making fun of it or just going off of what you actually heard. I was wonderin the same thing, have the exact same show with normal older characters. Would it be better or worse? I mean the whole show does have a parody of genre kind of feel to it, so I guess its what they were going for, but yea the little girls part made me really skeptical. Still enjoyed it though, mostly cus of the non cliche ending Quote of the decade. eh thats pretty weak there are plenty of stupid quotes around just cuz they're hilariously stupid doesn't make it quote of the decade

All of his stuff so far has been quite amazing. Very well refined, despite the guy being relatively new to the anime business. Jigoku Shōjo season1 is actually 'semi-deep'. I cant recall any 'deep shit' anime since the era of Memories/Perfect Blue/paprika etc, Makoto is probably the only one (his works are more on sensational/touching), the others mostly are depressing stories more or less similar to Saishū Heiki Kanojo/Elfen Lied with different elements mixed in. Do people consider Proxy Ergo deep shit nowadays? And that reminds me i still have yet to watch the forgetten King of Thorn in my external harddisk. I actually enjoy the small time anime more nowaways (compared to the younger me), short and well done anime that can make me laugh, some little twists in between and feel touched in the end like Angel beat etc.

I completely disagree, but eh. [04:04:19] <aers> you have to be like [04:04:21] <aers> completely next level [04:04:25] <aers> to get the layers and depth in inferno cop I totally recommend Inferno Cop. It is truly mindblowingly deep. And I am one of the people here who prefer psychological stuff the most, so you can trust me.

I don't want any of that transparent slice of life anime here. I'm looking for some DEEP SHIT. Is there "DEEP SHIT" in Shigofumi or is it just "semi-deep"?? And, is it moe? Because I don't do moe. But, I saw episodes of both the first and second season of Code Geass. Didn't see every episode, though, but sort of lost interest. Seemed alright with the Death Note-esque stuff, but the mechs really didn't add anything to the anime except for cliché. Perhaps I'll do a complete pass through the series sometime. I appreciate the recommendation. @Nagisama Seen Eva, seen Death Note, passed on both the others. Couldn't stand the characters in either, also plot is a bit silly. @Itsmedudeman I think I saw half of the series, but something went awry. I think it got like, a totally different crew or something, like right when those rabid, tribal, badger-muskrats came along. Had to drop the series, couldn't take it any more.

I've never wandered into Anime thread, so I thought I'd derp around it a bit and EXPERIENCE IT FIRST HAND. After searching him, I see he is some egotistical herpderper who almost has good taste, but then he gives NHK the same score (10/10) as Lain, which basically negates his opinion completely. And Love Hina = Wolf's Rain, who does that kind of thing? Most of his scores on MAL are pretty bad, giving some mediocre animes 8/9's while giving some pretty solid if not great animes (Akira, Cowboy Bebop, multiple Kon movies) 6's and what-not. Plus the guy has hentai up there, so what the hell? We can only hope he was trolling with 85% of it. At below 3 posts.. @Tabbris My brother really liked Penguin Drum, so I vetod it. ^_^. Also, you cannot assume trolls with anime because MAL scores say otherwise (many people like bad stuff) @RuskiPanda I like it, but to say it's as good as Lain would be a lie. It's the same artist if I recall correctly, but the plot and characters just aren't as good. Definitely worth watching though. @aers That right? Edited because too profane. Personal opinion. They are kinda trolling you with code geass r2 and such. Dont think madoka was a serious comment either. Honestly I dont think youll find alot of deep storys in anime. Writers are unremarkable in the genre in general. If you want a show to analyze and like literature watch Penguin drum!!!! You can watch that show over and over and learn somthing new ^^. Had a friend at Georgia tech even write a paper about it.
