If it does, I guess that would be more trustworthy than what the english ones give. Maybe Eca can magic up a correction of me, then, but I'd literally never heard of KnK being referred-to as an alternate reality :< I think the only confusion that may occur is because of the same name of "Shiki," but otherwise... All I can find, beyond the wiki entries that say its alternate universe, is "Nasu said so" with no source backing it up. Apparently has something to do with "only one person can have the Mystic Eyes of Death Perception" or something.

Err... lol. Maybe, then? He retcons everythefuckthing that I don't even know.

Nasu retcons a lot but, far as Mahoyo went, I feel like T-M is slowly organizing their VN franchises into the same world. They are more explicit about the spinoffs being alternative universes. Until they work it out though we can just work with the coffee shop.
I mean, let's not forget our future-telling kouhai who seems to exist in resonance form across like 5~10 years. Nasu has a lot of ideas and random draft/early material stuff floating around out there. They just aren't particularly organized at all.
I'd trust Japanese over English wiki simply because of the fanaticism of Japanese people and subculture wiki pages.

Gimme translation please...
It's just only one can "inherent" the family magic which is passed down through generations in the form of seal / tattoo / whatever. In this case it is Aoko (which is also why Touko hates her, as briefly mentioned in KnK). Nothing says you can't still be a magician without it though, and most people in nasu-verse doesn't.

You can't be a magician by definition, you can be a sorcerer though
Also Aoko and Touko's relationship is honestly some complex created by the Aozaki grandpa more than anything else. The said hate relationship as we see in rakkyo is rather tame lol. All Touko does is waste money and dumps it on Aoko's account. Aoko doesn't do shit about it because she doesn't want to go to the Clock Tower anyway.

Mahoyo translation 20%, wohoo. Oh well, just discovered Kagetsu Tohya so that's something good. :p

wtf Sentenal's an archon.
That is all.

I didn't know about it months ago. Doesn't make me happy to hear that it's been stuck at the same %:age though.

Is it? I feel like the end of MahoYo seemed to imply that KnK more-or-less par for the course >_>
Like dat afterstory thing. Hurr hurr hurr.

Well the main mahoyo story part is probably the most intense it ever got, after that it is just wasteful spending.

I meant their relationship, lol.

For some reason I expected Kazumi to be related to Coach instead of romantically involved and that she was just hiding the relationship. The series hints Noriko might have feelings for Coach too, but they are never expressed except in some reactions when Noriko is talking to Amano about Coach or maybe I'm just reading too much into it. It was really weird for the last episode to be in black and white, but I didn't mind too much. The ending where Noriko and Amano spent time equivalent to 12,000 years I'll just have to take the series word for that makes sense. It did make for another bitter sweet ending which seem to be more enjoyable than a pure happy ending.
Some things still bother me about Gunbuster's universe like the standard mechs which are equipped with only metal rods? When they were introduced I thought they were just for training purposes like Amano's duel with Jung, but the mechs seem to have no projectile based weapons while Gunbuster is a flying arsenal.
Started watching Gunbuster 2 and wow that series is a lot more moe than Gunbuster 1. Maid outfit, main character making cute expressions and attempting to work the nudity into the story. It also is pretty weird with the Nono and Onee-sama's abilities but I assume that will be explained. + Show Spoiler +FYI time passes more slowly in areas of great gravity in reference to areas of less gravity. Thus, the 12000 years was likely no more than several minutes/hours from the perspective of Noriko and Amano.

Yeah, they actually tried. And it does show.
Though I guess this is part of the reason why I was disappointed in Diebuster. Such a different style...

Nono and Lal'C's abilities are explained, you will see. Its ending is great, though. I guess it is a lot more "moe" by modern conventions, lol. But back in the 80s, Gunbuster itself was considered that too. It was first anime to introduce bouncing breasts as a form of fan-service. Gainex gonna Gainex. Yes Gunbuster 1 had a lot of fan service with nudity, but I didn't really think about bouncing breast as special fan service too since I'm not familiar with older animes and who started or popularized what cliche. Diebuster really sticks out though because they try to make it cute fan service though really I'm just noticing the huge time 14 year time difference between the series that have made moe things common.

I had only heard of a sense of time being affected by high speed travel before. + Show Spoiler +The other thing I had a hard time believing was the 12,000 years. I don't know the science so I can't and won't dispute it, but it was surprising when they had only previously lost 10 years at maximum.

Only thing I'd like to complain about is Azaka being such a brocon (in that regard Akiha is a thousand times better but I'd rather not spoil Tsukihime as to why), it's a fairly annoying trope that belongs in comedy and cheap drama anime.
She doesnt really have a choice, her Origin is taboo,
convenient right ?
