There is much more fantasy element after the part anime covered, otherwise it's pretty similar to before. The real story ends with vol 15/16 as last vol is just sort of fan service / aftermath.

Try Maoyuu Maou Yuusha (i think?). It's airing and somewhat similar. The synergy between the 2 main casts isn't as good but it's as close as you can get ;_;

They are not that similar though. Premise, plot, character, background, development, style all very different.

Maoyuu is one of the most unique LN in existence. On the other hand (that got dumbed down alot for anime), Ookami to Koushinryou is a fantasy adventure from a somewhat different perspective.

Meh. They have like the same voice actors for the two MCs. There's a human and some other worldly creature. They both have a lot of agriculture not to mention they both rely on copying ancient/medieval technologies to appear like the characters know what they're talking about.

I don't see how the two are so different that if you liked one you would absolutely hate the other. I think it's fair to say they're comparable, which isn't to say that they're the same.

If you like one you prob won't hate the other because they are decent shows to watch, but Ookami to Koushinryou is totally focused on main characters as they take on a journey, while in Maoyuu Yuusha is a minor character that grows increasingly irrelevant as story progresses, even Maou become somewhat of a side character later on. It's a story about how everyone interacts in a world during fundamental change. Maou is the driving force behind it but she was much more of a firestarter than flame.

The other is about Koshikizu Ami using a hug pillow.

Furries DFC lovers like one, big boobs lovers like the other. Both animes are meh, but one of them at least had a good source so it means that meh hurts more. Did I bitch about how I hate the way they decided to do Young Merchant?
