Cowboy bebop and samurai champloo are two I can personally recommend. Samurai champloo is pretty good. Cowboy bebop's dub is so well done that I'd say it's better than the original.

I really really like Cowboy Bebop, Samurai Champloo not so much at all. Then I've also seen Clannad, Angel Beats, and Kanon. Only liked After Story out of those.

baccano! death note welcome to the NHK FMA: brotherhood has a very high quality dub in addition to it just being a very good anime, but I personally can't stand Al's voice actor. I'd definitely recommend to check this one out the most.

I tend to like tsundere characters but damn it, that specific trope "it's not like I did it for you...idiot", etc needs to die. On December 17 2012 20:28 IMoperator wrote: Yo guys, I was thinking about watching K-ON!, is it good? It's a moesterpiece.

Also, just curious, is this a good place for discussing why we didn't or didn't like certain parts of an animes we've watched? Or is it more of a suggestion thread. I haven't really found any good places to talk specifically about critiques of what I've watched or what I really like about a specific anime. Talk all you want about anime, manga, etc here. And I get your point, though so far I haven't really ran into any decent dubs, and I'm used to subtitles (we barely dub movies here), so I go with subs myself.

I, for whatever reason (probably arrogance), really enjoy giving my detailed opinion on things. there is a [s] button, or use [spoiler ] [/ spoiler] tag Re dub/sub I'd recommend sub. But if you really doesn't like it, then do whatever you feels the best. IMHO there are three problem with dub: 1: Lost in real time translation. Not talking about culture specific points or translation quality, it's that the pacing and action is synced with Japanese dialog. Think translating a song of a poem, just not the same. This result in that dub generally is a inferior product if you disregard language barrier. 2: Unknown factor. There are better dub and worse dub, but you really don't know which is which beforehand unless you do ton of research before hand. With sub you know what you get if you follow some quality groups. 3: Seiyuu experience. Most people here have some favorite voice actor, while there are well known English VA, it's not the same. Minor issue: dub time lag, if you want go current you can't go dub.
