Gonna watch Steins:gate. Hope it's good :3 Lots of friends have recommended it.

I thought SAO was a ripoff of the .hack series. .hack series was better overall.
Turns out i was wrong.
It just turned out to be a cyber-game series added with a harem genre.lol The plot is pretty simple and there is nothing special about it.
I got no idea why is that series was hot anyways. Maybe people are just crazy over Asuna i guess.

Steins:Gate is pretty good but the development during the early episodes are really slow. But the series pace starts to get quicker afterwards.
Overall, it is a pretty good anime. I would recommended Kokoro Connect.
Still waiting for the additional 4 episodes scheduled to be release at 2013.
I am now watching Tonari-no Kaibutsu now. The manga of Tonari is really good and not your standard rom-com.

I personally am very entertained by psychological thriller/mystery anime, while fanservice shows which mostly have generic, dull plot usually aren't very fun. Usually it can be redeemed by things like entertaining flashy effects, humour or great characters but imo most (SAO included) doesn't really have either for me to the point where it covers up for its flaws.

I have no problem with people enjoying random entertaining stuff with cute girls or repetitive comedy or other generic shows. I watch a lot of that too. But my question is do you consider that stuff to have an amazing or engaging plot, well written and dynamic characters, meaningful dialogue, and possibly most importantly, a world that consistently follows its initial logic, etc? Because that's what people say about SAO and other shows that result in walls of text arguments. The funny thing is once someone challenges that notion, the comeback more often than not is the anime is popular therefore it's good (i.e. has the aforementioned qualities) which makes no sense and basically amounts to being unable to defend your opinion. No one cares (or at least I don't) what you find entertaining or not, just don't make ridiculous claims about it.

Hey Im no troll account. I just like SAO. I understand that the "true" anime fans might not like it maybe, but I am a omnivore and like all kind of anime. Its just that I have worked and studied alot so all I have watched was Naruto and One Piece each week (also Bleach until it got on hold, fullbringer arc so bad). So I came back to watch some anime that had some episodes released already, I didnt watch SAO one episode each week. I watched it all now in a row and it was a nice ride, long time since I could do that with a anime. I understand that its not finished yet so now I will need to wait every week again for a episode. In any case it was nice and now I think I will watch Monster since its been on my harddrive for a hell of a lot years and I never had time for that.
I heard from some friend that its good but a bit slowpaced?
Im in no hurry though so if its good overall I'll watch it.

Monster is amazing, though as your friend mentioned it can be awfully slowpaced at times so if you cannot stand that I wouldn't recommend it. Else go for it!

Muv Luv goes back to its harem romance root!!! Lol, I do prefer the other half of the show...
Raptors OP though.
edit: I just went full retard. I downloaded Kara no Shoujo from erogedownload.net in the three part download and I extracted them. What now, just put em all in the same place and mount it? Ah, I hope my brain starts working soon again...
