At times they might act very serious but imo FT is not very good at pulling it off most of the time. Pretty much since no one ever dies

Just finished Ga-Rei.
Was decent overall, the start is really insanely well done. More anime should be unexpected like that!

The flashbacks were long though, but I guess it was fine. I kept going because I wanted to know what would happen to Kagura. But then, I enjoyed most of the flashbacks!
Sad that Yomi had to die. But at the same time, if she somehow would have been saved, I probably would have feel cheated by cheesy anime story!

Also there is exactly 0% Hinagiku and a very small % of Maria in the new Hayate so far

For the record, Ive watched Fairy Tail 3 times now, up to the Tenrou Island arc. And Im prolly gonna continue this cycle over and over again.
I seriously cant wait for the Tourny arc to start, I keep hearing good things about it from the FT Manga thread.

Ga Rei Zero had the best first episode ever made. Also, even though most of the anime is a "flashback", if thats what you want to call it, it was still all good and well executed.

On SAO: Can't remember who said this but I agree with them on the fact that SAO would be so much better if it actually focused on that fact of them progressing through the levels... instead of skipping like 70 floors. Now THAT would be a sick story. :<

Ehhh pacing of anime was dumb to say the least but conceptually it wasn't that bad, vol 1 wise. I guess if the guy ever writes enough of Progressive for me to judge how a more stereotypical development would've gone I'll change my opinion.
