The characters just make more sense, even if the dub is ok (like I think Code Geass dub wasn't bad).

Some character types sound particularly bad in dubs though -- high pitched female voices/young voices sound AWFUL dubbed. Other voices can sound ok. My favorite dub performance was Crispin Feeman as Kyon -- the dub is worth listening to solely because he does such a great job.

Miyazaki is VERY popular in Hollywood for whatever reason. Ponyo had Tina Fey and Liam Neeson in it :O!

There are also a few eye-brow raising Japanese voices, like Goku's.

Both were really great but i liked 2nd Gig little bit better than the first one So i saw there are like 6 movies so i was wondering if any of those are worth watching?? I believe there are only three actual movies. I know there were a few made based off of the two TV anime, but as far as I know, they have very little new content, if any at all. The three actual films are the original Ghost in the Shell, Ghost in the Shell II: Innocence, and Ghost in the Shell SAC Solid State Society. There's also a Ghost in the Shell 2.0, but that is merely a reanimated remake of the first film. I high recommend the first two. Innocence wasn't quite as good as the original GitS film, but it is definitely not bad by any means. The original is an amazing movie. If you liked the TV series, then good god do not watch Solid State Society. It is a piece of crap that will dirty your memory of the TV series. It's a part of the SAC timeline and takes place some time after the events of the 2nd season. It starts out well enough, but it turns to complete garbage by the end. Avoid this one. Watch the first two. (:

.I'm finally catching up on everything that I've missed right now. That's like tons of Durarara and some Railgun. I still haven't gotten around to Nodame yet though. T_T. Soon, once stupid scholarship application season is over.
