+ Show Spoiler +So I was reading the 3rd chapter of Twin Cake today, it was pretty good, I think Kaede and Susuran make a pretty good combo, This chapter though things things started to pick up. With Kaede realizing her feelings for Susuran and Susuran oblivious and seeming to hold affection for someone completely different.

Fuuny this girl seems older and I swear I mistook her for a man then I saw the skirt and heels. Susuran =/ go for Kaede already.

I love the current direction anime is taking, though it seems so different from the previous nice and warmhearted arcs. I'm surprised people are actually dying, in kind of a gruesome manner at that.

I enjoyed the following: Another, Elfen Lied, gurren lagann, Fate stay night, Angel beats, Darker than Black, Steins; Gate, Mirai Nikki, Code Geass, and (Obviously) Death Note.
So, are there any outstanding anime in similar categories to the above that i should check out? The genius IQ of the protagonists in Death Note and Code Geass particularly appeal to me, too.

Easier if you give us a genre or something you enjoyed a particular amount.
If you say Geass or Death Note then I recommend K-on.

Also love fantasy, some mecha is okay but i'm not nuts for it.

You should really watch Fate/Zero even though its not on the recommendation list yet and its currently airing right now with 2 episodes left. Its like 100 times better than Fate/Stay Night and darker.
Actually I'm curious, could Fate/Zero be a recommendation for people who are not into anime so much (and have not seen/read F/SN), or isn't just too confusing at the start? I talked about it with few of my friends and they seemed interested.

you would definitely have to watch F/SN before F/Z, it would just be too confusing (imo) to work out whats going on, and even though it's a prequel, you learn a lot about the heroic spirits in F/SN, which F/Z still mentions, but glosses over

F/Z is completely standalone. Though it's far less enjoyable if you don't know F/SN storyline.
Kara No Kyoukai would be a better alternative to recommend someone I'd think.

if i wanted to give someone "Babby's 1st Anime"
i would pick something a lot of people enjoy such as TTGL (For the awesome characterization), Death note (for the "Holy shit how did the authors come up with that plot twist), or maybe even Elfen Lied (My first anime), assuming they aren't afraid of nudity and gore
