Here's another recommendation list: Muv-Luv Extra -> Muv-Luv Unlimited -> Muv-Luv Alternative Ever 17 Clannad (has an extremely popular anime adaptation) Fate Stay Night (don't watch the anime) Little Busters Kana Little Sister Sharin no Kuni Steins;Gate (good anime) Kanon (decent anime) Tsukihime (avoid anime) Under RPG action, I'd also suggest: (ordered from top to bottom, gameplay-emphasis to story-emphasis) Sengoku Rance Men at Work 2 Utawarerumono (decent anime) There's a mix of genres on the list (drama, romance, mystery, action) - if you have any particular genres you're looking for, that might help narrow down the selection Edit: Useful resource: http://vndb.org/v/all?q=;fil=tagspoil-0;o=d;s=rating

CHITOGE END ALL THE WAY!! + Show Spoiler [Nisekoi] + Kinda fishy, he should have 2 chain-locks if that's the case, but it' a love-gag, so I won't read too much into it. In his "dream memories" it's definitely Onodera, but Chitoge's key is probably that one that would unlock the lock, if it didn't break, Anyway, I'm enjoying this manga and Chitoge FTW.

Clannad Also : Saya no Uta Sharin no Kuni F/SN

There's a good reason MLA's rating on vndb is significantly higher than #2: great characters and story combined with top-notch production and presentation. I just recently finished it, and I felt like it pushed all the VNs I thought were 10's down into the 8-9 range. The only real downside is that it takes forever to get through Muv-Luv Extra and Unlimited and the first part of Alternative, but if you have the time, it's well worth it. ^Agreed completely Fate Zero 23 + Show Spoiler + So much win in this week's ep, Archer-Rider-Waver interactions so good. Can't wait for the last 2 eps Sharin fandisc: Not as bad as I'd heard - so far I've finished all the epilogues and just started on the Houzuki chapter. The epilogues generally covers the material that takes place between the end of the Sharin main arc and the ending scene for that heroine. Sachi's story definitely had the most content; Touka's was decent; and Natsumi and Ririko get to spend some quality time with Ken. Personally I enjoyed the Natsumi-Ken lovey-doveyness. Nice to see the heroines finally wearing casual clothes. Also, Ken's bedtime imagination = lulz (they manage to work in HCGs for + Show Spoiler + Mana (threesome!) and Kyouko

That sounds really dangerous, dude. Glad you made it through the storm ok, but how the hell did you manage to watch like 300 episodes of anime during one? Also, why would you be happy that tsunamis keep coming back? Are you a storm chaser, or just glad that deadly storms exist on the planet for some strange reason?

Tears to Tiara and Utawarerumono for some more RPG action Speaking of RPG Eien no Aselia This is why no one listens to you. I would only recommend Utaware and TtT to someone if they wanted to know what terrible was. Because they're both just plain terrible. The fact that you put them above Aselia just makes me want to kick you. Aselia actually has a story, a world that's more than just shit generic fantasy, and gameplay that isn't just A-move everything and win. Oh, and "On an unrelated but very sad note, the main composer for Nitroplus, Minamino Shingo, has died after being stabbed on the street. If you played any of their games or related anime, you probably heard music by him. RIP." Uta told us about that today, sad life. His work was very, very good, a key component to the setting of every nitro+ vn. I probably wouldn't have enjoyed KNS as much as I did without the music.

My recommendation would look like this, for English readers looking for a VN in a certain genre that would hook them to the medium; Ef - A fairy tale of the two Kara No Shojo Tsukihime Sharin no Kuni Aselia Narcissu series Sekien no Inganock Sengoku Rance Saya no Uta Things I would not recommend for first time readers; Anything by Key except Kanon Standard bishoujo games like Hoshizora, Katawa Shoujo Muv Luv because of length, unless you are both M and /m/ like sent. Things I would recommend people gouge their eyes out before reading; The fate series becuase of shirou. The sono hanabira series, because if you want porn, just watch porn. Utaware and TtT, because they're just plain terrible. G-senjou, bbbbbbbbbbbblllllehhhhhhhhhhhh. Kira Kira and every other Overdrive novel. Btw does Rewrite have a completed english translation? We just released common route, with about 20% of Kotori route. Uta and Eca recommend waiting for the complete version, which should come within a year at our current progress, but I enjoyed reading just the common.

I didn't attack anyone. You called us all plebs because we don't have your left ctrl super power. Now mocking. I love me some mocking. I especially love to mock young Chinese-americans who may or may not have had to replace their left ctrl button several times.
